We had the most laid back experience at the Tap Rock this evening. We arrived earlier than our reservation, and chose to sit near the bar while we waited for patio dining to become available. We were immediately greeted by Carlie with menus and some time. Tom, the bartender stopped by to check on us and took our drink orders. We had a rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding here. We ordered the smoked brisket and the chicken alfredo. Both dishes were excellent. They served them with an abundance of sides. Our guests all raved about the food and many of them took boxes of leftovers home and we still came home with leftovers. I highly recommend this restaurant for special events!
We like this place because of the great location right on the river. Sitting on the deck catching some sun and watching the river go by. We made a point of visiting this day because there is a new owner and we wanted to see if any changes were evident. The new name is Cartwright’s Tap Rock Western Grill. The place is big so even though the parking lot was pretty full we were seated right away. Service right on the spot and we were handed menus plus a list of other offerings...
