Walport Family Cellar did not disappoint. Our favorite hands down were the award-winning 2016 Syrah. On the palate, the wine showcases a full-bodied profile with well-integrated tannins that provide structure without overwhelming the fruit. The flavors echo the nose, with luscious dark fruits at the forefront, accompanied by the rich leather and tabaco flavor, followed by a hint of plum. A refreshing acidity balances the richness, leading to a smooth mouthfeel that coats the palate beautifully. The 2016 Syrah is a commendable representation of an exceptional red wine, offering depth, character, and a well-structured profile. Perfect for casual drinking and special occasions, it’s a wine that promises to satisfy even the most discerning palates. Always a great and relaxing time at this winery.

These folks serve such nice wines with a chill vibe that works with the young and the old and the unpretentious- again, because the wines bear the attention - but the grounds are on the way (half mile) from an astonishingly cool hiking trail just up Slagle road (don’t tell anyone!) but the Greg Proops doppleganger who works there is as cool as the dentist co-owner that hooked us on the place in the first place. Has to be experienced, for the wines first; then, for the people who make and sell them. My place in Applegate valley.

Another Great Visit to Walport Cellars. Music in the Garden and really good wines made for a nice afternoon with friends. They keep getting better with the activities, food, events and of course the wines.

Fantastic long weekend stay in the beautiful rental cabin on the property! Hosts Amy & Eric are very welcoming and knowledgeable about wines and the grape to bottle process that creates their delicious wines! A guaranteed good time will be had when visiting the tasting room! (Only a short walk from the cabin where friendly deer can be spotted along the way!) The atmosphere within the tasting room and on the park-like grounds make visiting Walport Family Cellars a must do!

Hands down the best winery of Applegate Valley, Oregon! A true family owned and operated gem with amazing views, relaxing atmosphere, and spectacular wine. The experience exceeded our expectations, and we'll be returning. Hats off to Eric and Amy for their genuine hospitality!

I love this winery and the family! Eric and Amy are always so much fun to chat with and Grant has added some major fun to the mix! And of course - the wine. What can I say? I love it every time!

There was not a single wine we were not obsessed with. Their reds are all incredible and their white blend can not be beat. Grant, the tasting room associate, clearly knows his wine and makes the experience that much better. Cannot recommend this space enough!
