My husband and I (and my husbands service dog) were directed here by the wonderful people from Plaisance Ranch Winery. Walport was highly recommended by the owner of Plaisance and the tasting room staff. We walked in with our dog and were rudely directed outside. The person in the tasting room never gave us a chance to explain that our dog is a service animal. We understand that many places don't permit dogs and are always happy to sit outside if necessary. I think that whomever that person was needs a lesson in common courtesy and customer service. After nearly 40 years as a flight attendant and working in customer service, I know that what you see doesn't always meet the eye. By the way, we cruised on over to Troon and had a wonderful tasting with Desiree!

Gorgeous view ans fabulous wine! Grant was fantastic at walking us through the notes and flavors of each wine. The tempranillo was so fabulous and I'm not even a huge red wine fan! Highly recommend!

We stayed in the Walport Family Cellars cabin (booked through Airbnb) and it was, without a doubt, the best accommodation we had booked during our four-week 8-state USA trip.The cabin is perfectly located. In the front with a view of the vines and in the back with a view of the forest. Isn't that pure luxury when you can watch deer and squirrels from your bed?The bed is huge and super comfy.The two porches are amazing.The size of the cabin is just perfect.Of course, we also tasted the wines and they are excellent.Amy and Eric are outstanding hosts and I heartily recommend Wine and Cabin.

Lovely family-friendly winery in the Applegate area. Erik and Amy are gracious hosts and the grounds offer plenty of seating for relaxing and sampling tasty wine. Try the 2020 Malbec Reserve!Also … wine club is full so get on that waiting list!

We were thankful this winery was open later than any others we found in the valley. We enjoyed learning about the wines from the owner/maker. Their outdoor area is very peaceful, surrounded by beautiful woods on one side and a view of the vineyard on the other. I normally only like red wines, but every single wine we tried there was amazing. I would have liked a bottle of each, but ended up favoring and taking home the Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, and the Red Blend.

This is one of my favorite wineries in the Applegate valley. When you visit this winery, you will likely meet the owners/winemakers while enjoying their wines and taking in the beautiful views. Great selection of whites and reds!

What a great place to just sit and relax and enjoy great wine. This is the winery you go to first or last. Service is outstanding. Very friendly and always helpful. Easy to talk to about there wines. Very knowledgeable. Take all day there or relax after a long day of many great wineries in the area. Owners are great and the feel good vibe is family. Great wine gatherings (Sip and Paint) to just pull out a book sit in a comfortable chair and let the rat race go by. Wines here are great!! Food platters are fun and hit the spot with pairing with your favorite wine. Did I mention wine jellies?? WoW you need to try these out. Al I can say is damn!!! We always pick up a jar when we are there.
