Apni Rasoi helps round out the substantial variety of offerings at The Heist, a relatively new cart pod in a former bank location on SE Woodstock. While on the topic of substantial - both my Chicken Tikka Masala and my friend's Lamb Vindaloo provided us with leftovers that went well beyond the day of our visit. The naan was fantastic - served warm, soft, and perfectly chewy, wrapped in foil. Our food arrived quickly, and a buzzer made it easy to find seating wherever we wanted, without having to hover to know when the order was ready The location is terrific - there's outdoor seating and a spacious indoor area with a bar, a coffee shop, and lots of tables in a robbery themed repurposing of the building.

Really bad food coupled with really bad service. I am kind of shocked this place can stay in business. I mean this is some of the blandest, watery, tough, and just overall gross Indian food I have ever had. Did I mention the prices are also super high? Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else.

The smell caught our attention and immediately drew us to the stand. Got the chicken korma, butter chicken, lamb wrap, and mango lasi. Everything was delicious. Meat were tender, flavor was delicious.

Run, don’t walk. This is the India food of your dreams. Explosion of flavor. Perfect meat texture. Good large servings. We had: Lamb Tika, chicken saag, and biryani. Prepare to fight over leftovers. Relatively quick! Beautiful. Sweetest family preparing. All good feels. Will the the first place I visit when I come back through town (from Cali, home of the overpriced and mass-produced). This is the food of my dreams.

I forgot to take a picture of the chicken curry because I dug in as soon as I got it. Very flavorful and rich. The chicken was tender as well. Portion size is generous and I wasn't able to finish there but I know it was be great as leftovers. There are a few more items on the menu id love to try so I'll be back to try a lamb entree next!
Chicken Kadai was about $17 bucks and I got about $0.50 worth of chicken. The chicken was juicy but it was like 4 little pieces that could probably barely count as like 10g of protein. The seasoning tasted okay and was watery. Either lower the prices or increase the portions because $17 for less than $1 worth of food is insane
