Apni Rasoi helps round out the substantial variety of offerings at The Heist, a relatively new cart pod in a former bank location on SE Woodstock. While on the topic of substantial - both my Chicken Tikka Masala and my friend's Lamb Vindaloo provided us with leftovers that went well beyond the day of our visit. The smell caught our attention and immediately drew us to the stand. Got the chicken korma, butter chicken, lamb wrap, and mango lasi. Everything was delicious. Meat were tender, flavor was delicious.
Run, don’t walk. This is the India food of your dreams. Explosion of flavor. Perfect meat texture. Good large servings. We had: Lamb Tika, chicken saag, and biryani. Prepare to fight over leftovers. Relatively quick! Beautiful. Sweetest family preparing. All good feels. Will the the first place I visit when I come back through town (from Cali, home of the overpriced and mass-produced). This is the food of my dreams.
