I just can't get over the $28 Caesar. Outside of that it's great.

Amazing. My husband and I went there for dinner to celebrate our anniversary recently and the food and cocktails were amazing! It was nice not having to drive to Portland for fine dining! I had the lobster dish and husband had the beef Wellington. Highly recommend!
I've been following Bacari on social media for YEARS, and tonight my husband surprised me with a reservation for our anniversary!Lisa, the owner, came and introduced herself and took our dinner order. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity chef! And I may well have been, the dishes were THAT good!If you're in the area, and even if you're not, make a trip to Bacari (and then several more!).

What a jewel we just discovered in Gresham!! We could not choose and ordered 3 appetizers that were excellent plus our entrees and a yummy lemon meringue pie for dessert. Good sized portions and the Apple salad was amazing!! The restaurant size is perfect for a dinner for two or four with not too many tables and spread enough apart that you can have an intimate conversation. We are going back for my birthday.

We celebrated our oldest going to LSU by having dinner there. Have not had such great food since Roys of Waikiki. The service was outstanding. Going there for graduation.
We had a lovely dinner at Bacari. Nice quiet environment, and great food! We had the pork chop and the linguine the dishes were cooked to perfection. Yummy drink specials as well.

The atmosphere was wonderful (other than the restaurants phone ringing extremely loud in the dining area during service). The one staff member that was running orders and the bar did a good job.The food, on the other hand, was disappointing. We had started the night with the "Artisan Bread" gluten-free version (for allergy reasons) and an order of the "Fresh Local Oregon Black Truffle Butter", the bread was fine, but the truffle butter was just butter. When we brought up that we didn't think we had the right butter, the server went back to make sure. When the server returned, they informed us that it was correct and that the butter is just rolled in a truffle salt. I love truffle, and I didn't even taste it when I scraped some of the salt off to see if I could. The server said she would not charge us for the butter. The main course then came. I had ordered the "Beef Wellington" and my partner one of the specials of the night a "Steelhead Trout with cabbage, sliced mini potatoes, and topped with a lemon aioli."I am going to try not to get long-winded with this.. The beef Wellington was not great. The filo dough was raw on the inside and soggy, there was no pate or duxelles layer, then the fillet was wrapped in bacon. They told us the fillet has to be cooked medium rare, but it was more medium than medium rare, and the bacon was, well, bacon. The mushrooms tasted like they were from a can, and the demi glaze was nothing to go home about. Nothing seemed seasoned at all.My partner said their steelhead was good and the aioli that I had tried was very good! The tiny sliced potatoes and the cabbage on the other had were soggy and left a pool of oil on the plate.Overall, I would not go back to this restaurant, and I would not suggest it to other people.

I don't share a lot on this, and I do not have an exceptional palate for food. In my opinion the food was amazing and well worth it. I will come back another time when I can. The atmosphere was nice not to loud or over crowded, i.e. this is not a place you go to hurry up and eat like other diners, I feel it's set up for easy conversation, and drinks were continuously filled.

Birthday celebration was awesome! The food was excellent! Lobster linguini, halibut, Wellington, pork chop, Caesar salad - all great! Atmosphere was relaxing and at a European pace which I love. Drinks were exceptional. Don’t be rushed - inhale the experience. Service was wonderful!
