Forget about all those other Sub Sandwich Shops - Big Town Hero is the best!! Fresh Tasty Bread and huge Meat Portions and Fresh Veggie Trimmings. Turkey Bacon Avocado, what a Sandwich!!

I absolutely love this place. The sandwiches are great and they have good menu variety, the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, and even getting food to-go is a seamless experience. Also, their prices are low! They were so cheap and even after the price increase a few months ago they're still really cheap compared to most spots in town. I'll always recommend Big Town Hero!

I come here on a regular basis. The sandwiches have never disappointed me and the people working in the kitchen have always been pleasant to speak with.
The first time I went to a Big Town Hero was in 97' in Salem. Had the "Very Berry Turkey." To say there is a store in Portland area got me giddy would be a great understatement. I went in, was greeted promptly and courteously. The food was just as good as I remembered.

Female named Erin was horrible first she rang me up wrong and then over charged me, and then after i asked her for chipotle she stated she didnt have it but i could see it right on the other side of the counter…!! And then when i was already sitting down to eat she told me i had to leave because of my service dog! Mind you my dog wasnt bothering no pne and sitting only taling up a foot of space in the place! Never going back there … wooildnt mind if this place got put outta of buiness for their horrible customer service!

I have only ordered via doordash but the sandwiches are so good! It's worth the extra fees. I get "The one" regular sized sandwich with Salami (add jalepenos, add cheddar, add salt n pepper) and their potato salad and soup of the day and split it with my husband and it's so yummy. The sandwich is filling and full of crunchy yummy-ness. They use way too much meat so I always remove some but that's easy to do. Their soup of the day is always good. Chicken noodle soup once and Italian wedding soup another day which was extra good. Yum.
