The first time I went to a Big Town Hero was in 97' in Salem. Had the "Very Berry Turkey." To say there is a store in Portland area got me giddy would be a great understatement. I went in, was greeted promptly and courteously. The food was just as good as I remembered.

Female named Erin was horrible first she rang me up wrong and then over charged me, and then after i asked her for chipotle she stated she didnt have it but i could see it right on the other side of the counter…!! And then when i was already sitting down to eat she told me i had to leave because of my service dog! Mind you my dog wasnt bothering no pne and sitting only taling up a foot of space in the place! Never going back there … wooildnt mind if this place got put outta of buiness for their horrible customer service!

Thank you to all the wonderful staff at big town hero ? for the amazing customer service, for allowing us to place big orders the same day for our weekly orientation. The fresh bread and fresh ingredients is top tier . I highly recommend coming here for yourself or to order lunch for your company.

I have only ordered via doordash but the sandwiches are so good! It's worth the extra fees. I get "The one" regular sized sandwich with Salami (add jalepenos, add cheddar, add salt n pepper) and their potato salad and soup of the day and split it with my husband and it's so yummy. The sandwich is filling and full of crunchy yummy-ness. They use way too much meat so I always remove some but that's easy to do. Their soup of the day is always good. Chicken noodle soup once and Italian wedding soup another day which was extra good. Yum.

Went in at 11AM today, there was nobody else in the shop except me and an online order pickup. I ordered two sandwiches, the cashier was extremely rude. The sandwiches were tiny, one piece of pastrami is not enough for a sandwich. The meat was burnt, the sandwich was flavorless, and the bread was not baked through, soggy and raw dough. Absolutely disgusting food and horrible customer service. Will never return. Oh and it took 30 minutes for two sandwiches!! Ridiculous.

No taste at all! If you want a plain sandwich that you could easily make at home, then consider this place! No seasonings, no nothing!! Waste of money!

I am a sammich lover... I will put anything on a sammich. I've had many, from many places. But this place is my absolute Fave! Seriously... the bread is so soft a fresh its like I'm eating clouds made of Parmigiano cheese!

I’ve ordered the vegetation sandwich, that girl has poor sanitation issues. Gloves were shared by with handling money to food, or dirty rag with unclean gloves to wipe. Ewww.

The new owners use groupon to help advertise and promote their business but the vouchers will not load. This is not their fault, but it is the fault of the business they partner with, not mine as the business owner wants to make it. Groupon sent vouchers to my email since the ones on the web won't load, but the business won't accept the vouchers. The owner then called me after I left to scream at me since I didn't buy the food since they wouldn't accept the vouchers. The old owners were great. The new owners, not so much. I used to eat there all the time. I've literally been eating there for years since I moved to this area, but will not be eating there again unfortunately. Sad.
