Hands down our favorite restaurant in Gresham as well as the greater PDX metro area. We have the good fortune of living within five minutes of Birrias Tamazula and it’s been nothing less than life changing!
The tacos are absolutely divine (especially the Birria and Shrimp) and the Birrias ramen is mana, I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Oh, the servers are incredibly friendly and the place exudes a very welcoming and warm environment.
In short, this spot not only offers top notch food that you will be return again and again for but it also feels like home whenever we visit.

Birria Tamazula has officially won us over! We first discovered this gem during the Teddy Bear parade and were impressed by the delicious food. However, our recent visit took it to another level—simply outstanding!
We ordered the Birria tacos and Machaca Chilaquiles, and both dishes were phenomenal. The tacos were perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. The Machaca Chilaquiles were a perfect blend of savory and satisfying, making for a hearty meal.
What truly sets this place apart is their handmade tortillas. You can taste and see the difference—fresh, warm, and crafted to perfection, they elevate every dish.
The service was equally exceptional—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The overall experience has made this our new favorite spot for birria. Whether you’re a first-timer or a birria enthusiast, Birria Tamazula is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!

AWFUL service! If you’re any color other than brown I suggest you do NOT go here! Or if you’re in an interracial relationship do not come to this place of business. They will treat you like second class citizens. My partner (white) and I came into the restaurant and ordered tacos and quesadillas. 15 minutes later two men come in and sat at the table next to us. The waitress goes over and takes their order, not even 5 minutes after they order their food comes out. They got beer, sides, and tacos. I asked our waitress if our food was almost done after she gave them their food. She gives me a confused looked and sighs yes. She comes back a few minutes later and walks right by us and goes straight to the two men that came in after us and brought them soup and more sides. She stayed at their table and chit chatted. Another 10 minutes go by and our food finally arrives. Please go support other local businesses that are more inclusive.

Was yelled at by the owner for parking in a regular spot that apparently blocked a delivery? He was rude and I told him there’s no sign saying I can’t park there. Just continued to be rude.

Needed to get brunch before picking up a new guitar. The usual spot had no parking near by, so found Birrias. Pleasant waitress served us. Theee soft tacos for 12 dollars. Two fish, one shrimp. All very good and fresh. The shrimp taco was fantastic. Mariachi music in background. Will come back.

This legit birria. I got the beef birria plate with tortillas, the tortillas were hand made and the food was very hot not spicy hot. I was a big portion and the place itself had a nice festive vibe to it, very chill would recommend.
