If I could give negative stars, I would. We had an awful experience and even reached out to the owner(s) to let them know what happened. My sister and I wanted to treat our grandma to dinner, so we decided to try Boccelli's. We were seated around 3:30 and there was nobody else seated in the restaurant. Another couple came in and was seated after us, then another couple was seated. After about a 10 minute wait, all 3 tables were brought waters. The server finally began taking orders, but started with the last couple seated, then the couple after us. She thens walked away to fill their drink orders, open wine bottles, and put the order into the kitchen (we could hear the order receipt being printed). She then took a phone order and put that in. A gentleman walked in by himself and she sat him near us, but still did not take our order. She came back by to give him a water and then took his order. After 25 minutes of sitting there and watching three groups who came in after us place orders, we decie dto leave. Not only were we the first group seated, but we were the only ones in the restaurant for 5 minutes before anyone else and we had no water until others were seated. Two of us live in Arizona, so we were looking forward to delicious, local Gresham food. Unfortunately, due to the lack of service we never had a chance to try anything.

My wife and I had our first date here in 2012. We at there last night for valentines day dinner and it's 2026. This wonderful restaurant has not changed one bit and that's a great thing. Place was full. Our waiter was great, very friendly. The food was unbelievable. VERY clean and it couldn't of gone better. Unfortunately we live a ways out of town, otherwise we'd eat there whenever we felt like it. Thank you guys and keep up the great work.

Im sorry I don't have pictures but I was starving and when the food came all I could think about was eating. The food was delicious and the service was great. Very attentive waitress. It wasn't a long wait for our food and it came to our table hot. Boccellis is handicapped accessible and there is parking in the back. It's a very busy area so go early.

Service is great & the food is really delicious. We went for lunch and I had the Chicken Parm. We also had the Itlaiano Platter. Great food, prices and generous portions.

Great little spot downtown Gresham for authentic Italian food. Must go for the lunch menu with build your own pasta dish with a nice wine selection.

This restaurant always delivers the most incredible food, service, and care. It's a favorite for those special events. We always make incredible memories here and the staff, and chefs, contribute to the experience. If you've never been, you simply have to go. They always do a phenomenal job taking care of our large parties with skill and professionalism.

Update: the owner response below asked me reach out, which I did twice, with no response. I went ahead and gave them another shot, and again, pretty empty place, very long wait from sitting down to seeing a waiter. Food was worse this time around. I dont recommend this place.
Original review:
I want to like this place a little more than I do. The food is fine. The service is disappointing. Very long wait for a drink in a nearly empty restaurant earlyish on a Saturday. Lots of staff standing around chit chatting while we waited for a server to come by. She did finally, and was weirdly performative. One of the clams didn't open in the order of clams and she asked if we were going to eat it...had to let her know you shouldn't eat them if they don't open up, which is neither here nor there but mildly amusing. In the end the food was fine, an app, 2 cocktails, 2 pastas and 2 glasses of wine was 115.00, which is not terrible but no crazy value. In general just didn't get the service experience I hoped for (classic case of people across the aisle with a different server coming after us, getting food and drinks before us, and leaving before us). With a better server would give this place a 4/5.

I came here with a party of 5. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was solid. Unfortunately the restaurant is small and the seating arrangement was brutal. Nobody at our table could converse because the set up only has big parties side by side in the back. Bartended for 14 years in my 20's, I'd say the set up isn't great. The experience in that sense was poor why the 1 star atmosphere. The food was great though.

I never leave bad reviews but feel like I should warn others. The service we had was wonderful but for the price of the plates, that food was just not good. The pasta tasted like the boxed past you get at the dollar store and all the seafood in my dish was tough and flavorless. I absolutely love scallops, never had one I didnt enjoy until this restaurant. My husband got a different dish and the peppers were barely cooked and everything was very soupy with not a good flavor. We were very disappointed, definitely not worth $25-$30 a plate.
