This was a great experience. I am always in search of my authentic heritage food. This brings the grandma (Abuela) aspect with Sabor which means flavor. Not greasy or dry but balanced well with the right seasonings. I am so glad my wife found this tasty food and the gentleman goes the extra mile in customer relations. Dia de Reyes 2025. Lonesome for home food, my son found this place for puertorican food. We connected with Gabriel. He was so kind...fixed me a savory one person Sampler....food enough a for a very hungry grandma and grandkids if they are around. Sabor puertorrrriqueño! Bacalaitos, alcapurrupias, empanadas ( empanadillas en mi pueblo)...y si sigo, me cortan mi discurso...mi gente, go to Island Tings. Got my money and tasting buds worth!

Puerto Rican food in Portland area??? Awesome!! I have been missing this kind of food since leaving the east coast. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Their sampler plate was full of the good stuff (empanadas, pastele, roast pork and rice and beans!!) and the drinks were great! Highly recommend if you’re missing puertorican food or looking to try something new.

Island Tings Pdx is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic Puerto Rican flavors, and clearly made with care. Everything we tried was fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The portions are generous and the quality is excellent.
Ordering ahead is easy and convenient, and the service is friendly and efficient. You can really tell they take pride in their food. This place is perfect if you’re looking for something different and truly flavorful.
