This is not the place to get halohalo. Very little ice cream on top and so pricey. $12!
I am sorry to say my phone died before I could finish my review! I loved the beef peanut butter stew with eggplant.Thw service was fantastic! The server was very sweet and personable.Honestly, the only thing that could be improved would be to have more Filipino art and items for atmospheric reasons.I highly recommend this place if you want authentic food.

We walked in and noticed a family gathering and really enjoying the food and each other's company. There was a young lady there, singing karaoke and not half bad! I knew right off I would like this place. It felt very comfortable to be there. They have quite an assortment of different dishes to choose from Filipino or Hawaiian. My nephew ate a chicken, rice, and assorted vegetables. dish that he gobbled right down. I did get a big fork full of it from him. Yum! He was staring at my saucy beef stew that I was savoring and enjoying so much. Yes, I did share some. I could not finish all of mine and brought home quite a bit of it, but oh, my gosh, was it good! We are going to go back there and try different dishes. I have never tried either kind of food before. And it was a wonderful experience for me. The lady that waited on us, was very attentive and made sure we had all that we needed and more. Very nice people there and their food it's wonderful! I was very happy to be there and I think I smiled the entire time between bites. It is close in and I think everybody would enjoy that atmosphere and food. I'm sure many people would be returned customers for life. Kuya's is such an enjoyable place to eat. I hope you all try it.That reads this post.

The food is ok. It’s food that you can easily make at home, nothing special to it. I ordered their musubis, lumpia rolls, and ube pancake and pigs blood. It took them a whole hour to get our food out and they also forgot the musubi. Very expensive for the portion that they provided.

The staff here are so sweet! Their food even better! Seating can be tight if it’s busy/dinner rush, but the food never disappoints! I love the pork belly skewers! Highly recommend! Their other pork dishes are great too! The pancit and the mac salad are great side options. The rice has always been cooked well. I pretty much enjoy it all 🤭 The portions are good for the price. I usually have some leftovers (a small lunch worth) but would feed one with a hefty appetite. Do give it a try!

Hidden gem. This place was great. My son and I snuck in between swim meet activities and boy were we glad. Food was on point. The host was the best as well. Made you feel welcomed and glad for you to be there. A great experience all around. Will be back.

You have to try this place!! The food is very delicious!! I can’t say which food was the best because everything was very good! Kiddos and I loved the Halo Halo and we enjoyed the left overs when we got home. Service was great and everyone was very welcoming. We will definitely be back soon!!

Oh my god this is the best huli huli beef I've had not surrounded by the Pacific. Everything is incredibly good and takes me right back.

Fantastic food. Highly suggest the pork adobo. Waitress left us alone, but still checked in a couple times, and the music was quiet. Absolutely will come back, 10/10 no notes

Best Filipino food in town by far! The owners and people that work there are super friendly and they have a little store where you can make your own lumpia . Kalua pork is crazy good and so is the lumpia . Don’t hesitate to go!
Finally came here as this place is close to my house. Not thrilled. The service i received was top notch but the food is not great. As for the sides, the rice alone is so sticky its almost mushy. The mac salad is pretty flavorless. I also ordered the musubi which just wasn't great either. I wanted to love this place but unfortunately the food just doesnt do it and I've been to a handful of hawaiian restaurants in the Portland area. Thank you anyway
We threw my mom a birthday party here and they were so kind. We ordered catering and everything was delicious, fresh, and well priced. They were so attentive and friendly. The huli huli chicken was my favorite.
Sadly, we were the only ones there. The time was 11 on Friday. We were met by a nice person, who sat us, and we had menus, etc. Soon, our drinks arrived. The soda, no carbonation, no ice, small, child size cup. Ice tea, no ice, warm, the lemon was at the bottom of the cup, tea was murky.
They disappeared for 10 min, could hear loud laughing from kitchen.
Came back, took order, and corrected drinks. Two simple meals, no one else in a restaurant, no to-go orders, 25 min later, and several microwave ding sounds, our food arrived. * Hint microwave
Tasteless, rubbery meat was cooked and reheated, rice was nuclear hot, Mac salad no flavor, kaluha pork 40% fat cap inedible.
We have been both ran or owned restaurants and are chef/bakers in the industry for over 35 years.
Left at 11:50- no one had come in.
Please change and work on things. We hope you improve.
