The staff here act like they have to do everything as fast as possible and the result is never getting an order correct. Not once in the last 5 times I've gone have I received a correct order. The food is always stale and inedible. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning here.

Always love coming to Black Rock. Great coffee, and personable staff.I was worried, that in an area, which has had a high crime rate, the management would allow a young woman work by themselves with no help or ability to secure the building. As we were there, we could see criminal activity within 20yds of the business.

There is a reason why I order non dairy drinks. Please listen to the orders coming through the window.Not surprising they don't have a phone number associated with this location.Being typed as I have reflux from dairy because employees legitimately don't care about dietary concerns. Had this been an allergy to something this could have been bad.

I LOVE black rock and lately this location is horrible . The girl with the long black hair has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced here . Drinks are always made incorrectly and when you say something about it or ask if it can be fixed she’s sarcastic, rude and this time flat out refused to add whip to my daughters drink after I NICELY said that I ordered it with whip. As I got my last drink and began to slowly drive off, she slammed the window closed in my face. I was livid after leaving there !! Strongly recommend going to another Black Rock location! There’s one further down 82nd closer to the Clackamas mall.
One of the best Black Rock locations... My go to from my new work, best I've found since I got transferred from Oregon City.

This black rock used to be managed by the sweetest girl, and had the best employee’s! Since under a new manager it is a horrid coffee place to go to. At approx. 1:20PM 12/26/22 there was 2 ladies there working. One blonde, the other long black sleek hair which was the one helping me. She never greeted me when I got to the window, she almost made my drink in the wrong size cup before I mentioned that it was a size too small and she switched it and was rude to me about it, as if her mistake was my fault. Then I had ordered a blended peppermint chocolate drink for my son, and it was made with only chocolate…. I asked her “is there peppermint in this too?” And she didn’t respond, just walked away and proceeded to re-make the drink as she rolled her eyes and talked smack to her co-worker. As I left she very rudely said “have a good one.” And it sounded like total sarcasm. The car behind me didn’t even deal with her, just pulled straight through because they not only have horrible customer service, but take 7-10 min per car. I would recommend going elsewhere simply to receive better customer service and have your spirits lifted rather than drug down by a girl who has the worlds highest ego because she gets to be manager at a coffee stand.

I wish this location had the ability to heat up their breakfast food... Warm croissant > cold croissant. Everything else is what you would expect from a drive through coffee place, which is to say it is good, relatively fast, albeit a bit overpriced.

Black Rock is the best coffee shop in Portland. The employees are great always friendly but never to the point of annoying like other places I've been to. Listen when I come for coffee I need coffee not interaction and definitely not conversation I just want coffee. Whoever thought the employers at coffee shops should engage the customer In conversation while waiting clearly doesn't drink coffee!!! Ok off my soap box. Black Rock has a premium coffee that has explosive flavor. Q little of the strong side for people that can't handle caffeine very well I would not recommend them buy for anyone else by far the best choice in Oregon!
