The wagu burger and fries and craft beer were awesome. Unfortunately the final bill for $26.00 for food and drink was $40 and change for excessive tips and fees for not paying cash. After getting home and looking at the receipt and seeing fees and three gratuities listed, I called to ask for an explanation. A server answered my call, said a manager would not be onsite for another two days, and then after asking me explain the reason for my call, repeatedly interrupted me though I kept asking him to let me finish. He could barely contain himself from speaking over me and then kept saying the charge for using a card was disclosed on the menu (which was only available by scanning a code and viewing the menu and a small phone screen). Realizing I was getting nowhere with him, I stated that their pricing was not very transparent and I said goodbye and hung up the phone. It’s too bad because the food was amazing but I’ll won’t be coming back. Can’t afford to pay $40+ on a bill for $26.

I dropped into the Mainbrew store to pick up brewing supplies and decided to checkout their sister establishment next door for lunch. I ordered a bowl of Oregon Elk Chili ($12), which was served with tortilla chips. The chili was excellent, with a bit of a kick to it but not too spicy. It set me up for the day to the extent that I skipped dinner. ?
The bar has an extensive selection of beers with a knowledgeable server. If you want something to go, growler and 32 ozs crowler fills are available. There is also a wide selection of bottled and canned beers in the cooler.

Fantastic local, small business with an incredible variety of beers and ciders on tap as well as to go. Not to be overshadowed by the equally fantastic food, much of it beer-based or themed. Some of my best meals have been had there. A "hidden" treasure on the west side, they also have a number of fun events, tap-takeovers, etc. throughout the year. An absolute must see/stop.

The pizza was great, but more importantly the beer selection was off the hook! I've been back just to get beers to go. What really made our night though was our server Michael. What an awesome guy! Super attentive and freaking hilarious. Give that guy a raise, and keep on getting those fantastic English ales.

I've been going here off and on for some time now for their smash burgers which are over priced but Hillsboro has nothing better to offer. But today I was disappointed when my "smash burger" appeared to be the standard frozen hockey puck you can get anywhere at a better price.
