Backwoods Brewing Hillsboro Reviews
Do not visit this company. I had a 50 dollar tab Saturday night and tipped. 3 days later i noticed they added an 89% tip. So what was a 50 dollar tab they put an additional 50 dollar tip on there. I would have never tipped almost the full amount of the tab. So I’d stay clear away from this establishment if you’re thinking about going. if you do go make sure you you take pictures of the tip/receipt or pay in cash because this company cannot be trusted with your card.
Absolutely amazing place! Best pizza in the PNW. Well worth the $6 toll back and forth from our hotel in Cascade Locks.
Had the great fortune of trying this Hazy IPA before meeting the owner Kelsey Grammer and watching him pull beer for a few hours. This beer is outstanding! it doesn't have that hoppy bite and has a refreshing citrus finish. Put simply? it's delicious. Looking forward to more amazing beers coming!!

Backwoods Brewing Hillsboro is a restaurant that offers a unique dining experience in a repurposed bank vault, complete with safe deposit boxes. The menu features a variety of dishes at moderate to higher prices, known for their excellent food quality and generous portions. The service is efficient, friendly, and down to earth, with staff who know their beers and make good recommendations. They have a rooftop bar overlooking downtown Hillsboro and a classic woodsy mountain brewery feel. For drinks, they offer flavorful and fresh options such as the habanero passion fruit margarita, raspberry lemon drop, and ales and lagers like The Ridge Run Stout. The menu includes options like pulled pork nachos, turkey club, tots, sweet potato fries, onion rings, soft giant pretzel with pig lager beer cheese dipping sauce, and the Turkey Burnt Ends Sandwich. Some customers find the food servings a bit greasy and the bread-to-meat ratio in sandwiches could improve, but many enjoy the crispy seasoned tots and generous portions. The bathrooms have individual doors but sinks are out in the main room. Overall, it's a great place for a meal and drinks with friends, and many customers express interest in returning for the drinks, rooftop patio, and to try other menu items like fried pickles and wings.
