I really debated about writing this review but, in the end, i was bothered enough to feel it’s necessary. I have been a consistent & loyal customer of both Collective Market & of Decadence for many years. Decadence has been a favorite place of mine for a long time. But, today, i was very disappointed in how i was treated. To explain..
I have a small 10lbs dog that i have always been able to bring into Decadence. My dog is handicapped so she rides in a dog stroller. I have never had her out of her stroller and the stroller is always completely closed up. It basically becomes an enclosed kennel for her. Again, this has NEVER been an issue in all of the years i frequent this business.
Well, today we went in, with our dog completely sealed up in her stroller, as always. I saw an employee notice my dog and smile at her. So they knew i had a dog with me. So we ordered two coffees and two sandwiches. We planned to eat inside because it was very cold, windy and rainy. However, AFTER we ordered, had sat down and got comfortable, waiting for our order, an employee comes over and tells us they don’t allow dogs inside. The employee said they could pack our order to go instead. So, they let us order, taking our money, but then they kicked us out. Why would you allow someone to order, knowing the dog isn’t allowed and still ask if we’re staying to eat, which we said yes, but all of a sudden the dog is an issue. So, since we ordered already, and THEN got kicked out, we had no real choice but to eat outside in the cold. We had walked there so we didn’t really have any other options.
I understand businesses are between a rock and a hard place when allowing pets. I understand there are laws and rules. But the way this happened was rude and was very embarrassing! In addition, there is absolutely ZERO signage ANYWHERE that says no pets allowed. I am happy to follow rules.. i get it. But to suddenly have an issue with my dog after YEARS of there being absolutely no issues AND to fail to post signs that pets aren’t allowed, i had to be embarrassed and kicked out of a business i have been very loyal to.
Very, very disappointed in Decadence and how i was treated. I guess i’ll go somewhere that can actually make their intentions/rules clear beforehand so that they don’t entirely embarrass their customers.

These folks save the day. Two wonderful cakes.
Lovely cafe!
Delicious desserts! They gave us an extra cupcake to try. Thank you ! Will come again
Staff strangely unable to answer basic questions, e.g. whether something was cream-filled, or whether something else had cinnamon.

I have ordered birthday cake for my child during two occasions many years apart and on both occasions the cake layers got separated.
I wanted to like this place, but my breakfast sandwich was a mess. I literally couldn't pick it up and the biscuit fell apart. I know biscuits crumble, but this didn't hold together at all. The bacon was cold and limp. Cheese not melted and hardly any egg. I couldn't finish it, which is a rarity for me. I usually can push through. Toddler enjoyed his cookie, but not hard to impress him. Staff wasn't particularly friendly, either. Probably won't be back.
Beautiful Cupcakes and cookies and pastries!! Great customer service!
Revising my review from a few years back. Service has gone way downhill, extremely slow. The food has also lost its unique flavor and is just a typical bakery now. We stopped coming here and when we do randomly stop by I am reminded that it isn't the same. My guess is that the owner is less present now, which has caused the decline.
The care taken on the cakes I've ordered from here has been phenomenal. I've gotten a couple of birthday cakes here and they always go above and beyond. Absolutely worth spending the money to get such a high quality result.
