It was the best mexican restaurant in town 5 years ago. It came from the tiny space in the Cornelius road with a big portion, adorable price, best flavor. I can't remember how many times I recommended people coming overhere. They did have a salad bar with lots of sauces and chilly pickle.
The new store is the current location. However, 3 4 years ago, the price was up a bit but reasonable. The service was good. They cut the salad bar but always gave some chips and beans, some kinda sauces . Now it cuts them all , it left only the tomato sauce and chips. No beans. The other sauce needs to be asked for. The portion is different, the taste is different. Costillas en Salsa Verde is extremely salty. No veggies on site anymore. To be fair, the Service is nice and friendly. It seems the chef is changed. Sadly, I lost my favorite place then.
I have given this place three tries. Each try my family and I have left with food poisoning. You would think it would change each time. The only thing we shares was scevche and the oyster shooters. I wouldn't recomend anything made from fish. Service was lack luster. We sat for over a half an hour waiting for drinks, then a half hour for the check. Rather disappointing.

The food was absolutely abysmal here. Who puts broccoli on a torta?
This is a decent spot for drinks however. The prices on their margaritas are cheap and they are very large for the money. The atmosphere is pretty okay as well.

I went with my Mom and Brother to eat at this restaurant to celebrate mother’s day this morning. I usually come here with my family on birthdays or special occasions. The service is usually okay and the food usually takes 15-25 minutes, depending on how busy it is and how much we order. Today, they had a mother’s day “special” type of menu. It was pretty much limited to items $30 and up. The price is not the problem, the problem is they would not let us order anything from the regular menu, which is what we came here for. It makes no sense they limit the menu, there’s no options for single tacos, quesadillas, tortas, or any of the usual stuff we would order. We did not feel valued or welcome at all, it felt like they only wanted customers that were coming in to spend $50+ per person, which is a lot because they are adding an automatic 18% tip for a party of 5 or more, meaning you’re going to spend at minimum $150 for a family of 5. They didn’t have anything available for children, just meals and $10 small desserts. We spent $70+ for two people, and decided to eat elsewhere afterwards. An experience like this is what makes us never visit a restaurant like this again. I understand it’s a business that wants to make profit, but they upped their prices specifically just on this new menu, you can see the price difference compared to the menu on their website. We hate places like this, no integrity.
The service was really bad. The waitress was rude

Bad service. we never got our salsas for our tacos and other food, they also never asked if we needed anything else. We kept telling the waiters about the salsa yet we never got it.
I had a shrimp burrito, my husband had ceviche and a pupusa, and our son had mixed street tacos. The food was good and the portions were very large. I saved half my burrito for lunch today. The portion of ceviche was large enough for 2 people. My husband appreciated the Negro Modelo on tap and my son and I had margaritas. The only fault I could find is that the salsa wasn't hot enough, but she told us it was mild when she brought it out. She probably thought us pasty Gring's couldn't handle hard stuff, LOL. We'll be going back.
It’s nice inside and warm but the bathrooms are cold. The food was not great. The green salsa is the one with the spoon was not good it was lacking flavor. My tacos were dry and didn’t come with any salsa. My husbands torta cubana was big but it came with some items it normally would not like lettuce and it was missing the ham. The chicken was chopped up like if you would put on a salad. I think my son’s meal was the only one that was the best out of the 3 meals.
The food was amazing! I thank the staff as I don't speak speak Spanish and the menu is entirely in Spanish.
