Hillsboro Swagat Indian Cuisine

Came for dinner with a party of four and were seated promptly. We did enjoy the overall atmosphere and decorations. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. We had fish curry and lamb biriyani, and some Tandoori chicken skewers, as well as some chicken Tikka. Portions were possibly enormous, especially when going for the Thali option. The food was very good, but very mild, maybe one has to ask for spice. Overall enjoyable, would visit again.

Had this place a couple times in the past didn’t really care for the flavor of their cuisine, but the garlic naan was always pretty good, but they will not allow you to buy garlic naan at all without buying an entrée. She said they get used for their naan lol your a restaurant 🤦🏽‍♂️ we tried ordering 30$ worth and still a no. I guess the “owner” or “ imaginary manager made the rule. Asked to talk to them but she said they stopped working in store awhile ago. Super shady and definitely not there for the customer. 👎🏽 don’t force customers to eat your crappy flavor of India if we don’t like it. Any support is good support.

Absolutely the best Indian food in Oregon! Butter chicken, chai and splurge and her a thali full mealwith many different options. Great value! Highly recommend also beautiful restaurant for a special dinner out

Good, not great. Service is there if you seek it out. They don't check on us enough. Food is way overpriced but decent.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant with some of the best Indian food I've ever had here in the States. Staff was helpful and attentive, we had a fantastic time here. I'd highly recommend.

Restaurant was pretty. Service was pretty poor, especially for the prices. 1 glass of water the entire time I was there. Food was okay, but had I known they used star anise/fennel in their biryani rice I would have ordered something else.

The food overall is tasty, the ambiance is good, the service is good, and the portion sizes are generous, making the comparatively higher prices seem reasonable. Good vegetarian options too. However, I can't quite understand the kitchen's obsession with food coloring. Why does the tandoori chicken and chicken 65 need to be such a deep shade of red? The coloring is intense and it permeates all the way through the meat! The semiya payasam (sweet served with chicken lunch thali) was mediocre.

Kinda disappointed they don't have the lunch buffet anymore. I was unaware they permanently stopped offering that after covid even though I saw somewhere online they do have the lunch buffet. From the research I've done, it seems the Beaverton location offers the buffet still. I won't stop recommending this place or visiting, I just might make the trip to the Beaverton location for the buffet. The food is wonderful, and I just love getting to try the variety of menu options.
