My husband and I stayed at the Cedartree Hotel a couple of weeks ago, and the one thing I wanted to do the most was to check out Kiyomizu. This little sake bar did not disappoint! It's an intimate, bright, and quiet spot where the different brands of sake can really shine. Mel, who was working behind the bar and who led us on our sake journey, was incredibly helpful with giving us recommendations and describing the different drinks to us, especially since we knew next to nothing about sake. My favorite of the night ended up being the Yamayuzu Shibori sake, which was just sweet enough without being overly so, mixed with flavorful yuzu. We also tried a couple of food dishes, and the sake oyakodon was the star of the night. I would highly recommend checking this spot out if you're staying at the hotel or are in the area and are looking for a unique experience!

Located within Cedar Trees Hotel, the Kiyomizu Sake Bar is a culinary gem offering an unparalleled experience. With 22 different sakes to choose from, it promises a journey of flavor and cultureEntering the bar, I was greeted by an elegant ambiance that exuded authenticity and refinement, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu, while concise, boasts a delightful array of Japanese delicacies, including steamed clams in sake, chicken teriyaki, kara age, and even salmon sashimi. Each dish was a symphony of flavors, perfectly complementing the diverse selection of sake available.

My wife and I came here for a date night after looking for Sake in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. What a neat place this was. We were the only two people in the sake bar and restaurant that night. We had a great time enjoying some sake and learning about it as well as chatting with Kourtney, who was a great server/host while we were there. We will definitely be back!
