Great food !! Most authentic Indian food I have had so far in the US. Great ambiance !!
With a wife who's spent time in India we're always on the lookout for decent Indian food. Maharaja marks well above just good in our books. Fantastic food and great service.
Not impressed. My daughter liked the butter chicken curry. My lamb boti kabab was not very good. The rice and naan were ok. The business is apparently for sale.
Terrible customer service. My husband ordered Lamb Saag and Shrimp Coconut Masala over the phone, yet after he picked it up and brought it home, we found it was Lamb Saag and Lamb Coconut Masala. He immediately contacted the restaurant and explained what happened. The woman just told him "sorry, I'll do better next time". No offer to fix the mistake, or give a credit. We love Indian food but will never order from here again.
Simply the best. Their butter chicken and samosas are what I'd eat as my last meal on earth.
We have been going to Maharaja for several years now and love it. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. We took my wife's sister and husband visiting from Los Angeles and they said it was the best they ever had. They are serious food and wine snobs so I take this as a high complement. When my son visits from Eugene he always makes a point to eat here or take some food back with him since it's much better than any restaurant in his area.
Great Indian food.Try bengan bhartha.
Standard Indian food. Currently only take out, about a 25 minute wait
Best curry in the Portland area. Delicious butter chicken and naan. Very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend. 2 butter chicken plus 3 naan was $25.55.
I would say the food was just okay. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t spectacular. I got butter chicken, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas which was around $21. The butter chicken was the main thing that was very average. The garlic naan tasted fresh and was really good but the vegetable samosas are definitely on the salty side.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food here is excellent. The customer service is excellent as well. It seems that hole in wall locations always make the best food.
Absolutely wonderful food. Worth a detour. Can't wait to return and sit inside.
The dine is still not open here. So we had a take out. We ordered Malai Kofta, lamb curry and tandoori roti. The food is authentic and delicious. Malai kofta had great but my husband said, lamb curry was similar to chicken curry and the chunks didn't felt fresh, but frozen, but the taste was really good otherwise. Tandoori roti is ofcourse not as in India, but I liked it. Would be more tasty when fresh. I'm sure, other dishes will also be really good. Overall a great place to order Indian food from. Would definitely recommend.
The location is a little tough to get to but honestly the curry here is some of the best I've had since moving to the Portland area. So good! I really like the Korma dishes.
Some of the best Indian food I have had in a long time. Love this place!
