The upstairs dining was way too dark. Had to get out our phone flashlights to read the menu. Positive-Our orders were taken right away, We asked for the candles to be lit. Finally after 15 minutes someone came with a lighter that didn’t work. The wait for water was about 15 minutes then there were no water glasses when they brought it. We were dying so two of the seven of us drank out of the pitchers in desperation. Positive-The kids did enjoy the shuffleboard table game. Two of us asked if we could we have a side salad instead of fries or tots. They didn’t tell us it was $2 extra and the salad was minuscule. They didn’t ask how burgers were to be done. They were well done to burnt. I was pretty annoyed with the entire experience but left a good tip since the issues were the restaurants fault and not necessarily the servers fault.Parking: The aisles between cars are narrow. Some numb skull had his bike on a carrier on the back of his car and you could not drive around it. We Had to back up to the entrance and go to the lower lot.

A nice cozy spot. Food is always consistent, as is the service. All McMenamins have a unique vibe and this location is one of my favorites. Whether cozying up by the fire in the winter or sitting outside in the summer, anytime is a great time to stop in for a burger and a drink. Love the vegan Mystic Burger and the house made mystic sauce. I used to love the cajun tots but for some reason all locations have just become so stingy with the spices I just order them regular now because there isn't much of a difference but I still enjoy them.

Probably my favorite McMenamins non hotel property. I love the crackling fireplace, the history of the property, the bomb crater, the food and the service with a smile ?. It is cozy and inviting, it has grounded me every time I've been there!!!

The worst service I've ever had. Our waitress Andreanna forgot most of the items we ordered, had to be asked twice for drinks, the appetizer never came. My sandwich came out completely wrong. If you can't remember what people order or how they order it, write it down. It's your job to get it right. She ruined our meal with her apathy towards her job. Too young and privileged to care about the quality of her work I guess. Maybe she can marry rich and not have to work?
