Midway Firehouse Pizza

Went there to see a musician we like, ordered the Asian chicken wings, wings were good but the peanut crumble on top was stale.
Other than bad peanuts a good experience.
Cheese sticks were good.

We've passed by numerous times and always wondered if this place was good.

We finally decided to make the drive (we live in Vernonia) and try it out.

It was well worth the drive.

The pizza was great (fresh toppings), the price was decent (beer was priced well, pizza is what I consider normal pricing), and the inside was clean and organized.

We also got a half salad... that thing was huge and covered in feta, their ranch is also delicious, it was gooood.

The only part that bugged me, and it's pretty minor, but I asked to watch the Ducks football game on the screen above the cash register, the staff member was more than happy to put it on and right when the game was about to start, one of the kitchen staff walked out and changed it to Baseball.

I went back up to the front, asked what was going on, and was told, "He likes to watch Baseball."
Fortunately, there were other TVs, and I asked if they could be turned on and watch the game on one of them.

We'll be back, definitely a good pizza spot, and worth giving them a shop. It won't disappoint.

We called in an order for pickup. The order was never given to the chefs. We had to wait an extra 25 minutes after the original 40 minute estimate for our food to be made. The pizza did have a lot of toppings though. Crust was charred more than normal in some places,inedible. It had so many toppings that some of the dastardly pineapples jumped from the Hawaiian side over to my pepperoni and ham side. Also the first bite of each piece was limp and soggy. The cheese bread was alright but nothing I would rave about. Ranch was over garliced. I thought the seasoning/herbs on the mozzarella cheese bread was alright not too overwhelming. The environment looked kind of like a dive bar meets a sports bar meets a family restaurant with all the people in it. It claimed to have live music on the front door. For 30+ dollars per pie I don't think we'll be returning.

It’s not bad pizza if you are in the area or passing by, but I wouldn’t make a trip out here for it. It reminds me of 80’s pizza parlor pizza, the pepperoni is classic. Highly recommend you call in your order, I placed a mobile order and when I got there they somehow forgot about it and the ticket just sat on the line, and I had to wait much longer for them to start it making it and this is not good enough I would have waited. Definitely a locals place.

We love the location, out in the country. They have a great beer on tap selection, even Kombucha on tap!! Pizzas have very good flavor. The Bulldozer Pizza is so creative and outstanding!! One tiny thing though is the Pizzas have a LOT of cheese, I will ask next time if they can use less. All in all we love going there!
