Fun Happy Hour at Hillsboro Wasabi. My chicken dumplings were definitely made from scratch with a fine sweet soy sauce. Dining partners said the coconut shrimp only hinted at coconut, the crispy chicken was over the top for flavor and texture and fish tacos as expected. Good prices, wonderful service, tidy restrooms and ample parking make this a good value.

We got 4 different sushi rolls and all of them were unremarkable, their rolls were mushy and bland and there wasn't a lot to distinguish one roll from the next. Fish was very low quality. Price is insane for the quality, over 7 dollars for two pieces of low quality salmon nigiri.
Presentation was pretty but there's no point in making the food look good if I'm just going to wish i had gone anywhere else due to the taste.
Drinks were okay, the Lychee Blossom was great but everything else we tried was just palatable.
The restaurant also just looks closed.

So fresh it tastes like summer here year round! Make sure to try that tuna tataki and the tuna ceviche. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. My favorite roll was the Orange Dragon with a citrus touch. They also have a full bar. The wasabi mule is a must and they have different types of sake. At wasabi there's something for every day of the week too so look out for their specials. The inside is very trendy and the service is impeccable.

The server with half brown half black hair was literally unbelievable. Food was terrible and it came out an hour after ordering, had bathroom issues a couple hours after eating there, waiter never checked on us and literally never brought drinks over, sighed like a bratty teen everytime we needed something, they screwed up a shellfish allergy at our table and LITERALLY DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT TO DO. Total deer in headlights.
The worst of it all was when our table was paying, and the bratty waiter charged the wrong amount 3 TIMES ON OUR TABLE. We specifically told him what card was for what ticket. We only split the bill 3 ways. Ended up having to talk to the bartender, who was the only one in the entire restaurant who was mature enough to handle this situation. Had to speak to the owner about the whole mess. Literally do not come here.

We were the only ones in here. A year ago at this time the bar was full. Sad we thought they were closed. Ordered the $10 wings and beer special. I do not recommend the wings, they were so burned they were black - had they not have been so burnt they would have been tasty. Sesame chicken was good, could’ve been a little warmer. Sushi was mediocre. Usually they have good music playing. The music was old school slow twangy country which made it more depressing to be here. Service was good as it should be as we were the only ones here.

Service was very good. But the food, specifically the chicken, was too bland. Tasted like it was just recently defrosted in the microwave and then overcooked.

amazing but a little expensive
Good sushi. Maybe not great. But solid. Loved that they provided piles of tasty ginger and plenty of wasabi. Their drink menu looked really interesting but we were there for lunch and no drinks were enjoyed.
Salad rolls were really tasty and included pickled asparagus! The peanut sauce, however was super sweet and smooth... like a sundae topping drizzle... Not our preferred style of peanut sauce, but some are gonna love it.
This place is huge! Seating on two sides with a nice bar area and outdoor tables.
