Best Western Plus Hood River Inn: Gorge Room

The Best Western Plus Hood River Inn offers stunning views of the Columbia River, which are definitely the highlight of the stay. While the property shows some signs of age, it has been updated to maintain a degree of modernity. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were adequate, making for a pleasant stay. Overall, you're really paying for the unparalleled views.

Very nice hotel! It sits right on the Columbia River. The coolest part is they allow you to park your boat on their dock for free if you stay at the hotel!!! Plus they have a great bar and restaurant and the staff are awesome! A must stay……

I found the BWHood River Inn seven years ago. I've been back every summer since for a few days R&R. Great staff, views, rooms, restaurant with views, fantastic pool and hot tub by river. Clean and comfy rooms (I always get Executive King, so I can sit in the balcony.) The pool area is a great place, outdoors by the river, to lounge around. A little beach next to it if you want to swim in the river or lay on the beach. Restaurant has lots of outdoor dining, great food. Owners/management obviously care about both guests and staff. Staff are friendly, happy, accommodating. I just retired from teaching. I'm an amateur NW historian, always looking for cool places to stay in the NW, and I've been to many. There are lots of great places but the BW Hood River Inn is my favorite!

More like a resort rather than an everyday Best Western motel. I have travel for my job for nearly 40 years. I love BestWestern. I stay with them all over the Pacific Northwest. This is by far the best of the best! Great location, great rooms, over the top service and outrageous restraunt & bar.

Great hotel with stunning views of the Columbia River. The rooms were nice and breakfast was delicious - would come back just for that - and the views! The vouchers to the restaurant are really a plus. Front desk staff was very helpful. Lots of room options to choose from.

This is a beautiful location on the Columbia River with large clean rooms, and an excellent dinning room. We had and excellent dinner in the dinning room. The swimming pool was a little warm, however it was 107 degrees outside.

Questioning whether to bring your dog this time? Stop asking and DO IT! They treat your pets as priority guests with accommodating rooms, pet areas, and a welcome bag. This trip was the highlight of his year.

We travel to the Oregon coast several times each year, and this hotel in Hood River has become our favorite stop along the way, going and coming. The exceptional front desk staff starts our stay in such a positive way. Kerry is a joy! Staff at check out makes us sorry to be leaving. I think it was Maria who was so wonderful last week. Jessica does a super job as Manager. And thank you for the upgrade to the River View Deluxe. We felt extra special. The rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent Wi-Fi. After being upgraded to an Executive room several months ago, this has become our accommodation of choice! We love the walk-in shower and fluffy towels. Housekeeping staff is always so friendly. The Riverside restaurant is incredible! We especially like the baked oatmeal for breakfast. Great 8-grain toast, terrific bacon. Pasta for dinner is wonderful. And the peach salad….wow! Always a great stay!

We usually stay downtown in Hood River but tried this BW so we had the outdoor pool. It overlooked the river and we loved swimming that day and enjoying coffee in the hot tub the next morning. The restaurant was excellent and we had some of the best food we've had in Hood River. It's unfortunate that the air conditioning units are so loud as it disrupted our sleep. Everything else good!

As part of a long road trip, we recently spent three nights at this wonderful hotel. This property is very well maintained, inside and out. The location is fabulous! It is convenient to downtown, restaurants and everything along the Columbia River Gorge as well as the Mt. Hood area. We had a river view room on the 1st floor in the West Wing with two queen beds, two comfortable chairs and a table, microwave and refrigerator. We also had a patio with two chairs and a small table. From the patio you could access the grass area and walk along the river. The view was spectacular. We could see the bridge in one direction and a beautiful view of the river in the other direction. The patio is very large, but it is shared with the room next door with no divider, which I wasn't crazy about, but it was still great. The hotel is pet friendly and a sidewalk all along the river for dog walking; also, lots of grass areas. There is a restaurant on site (pretty pricey) but the food was very good, at least for breakfast which is the only time we ate there. The customer service is great. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and I highly recommend it when visiting Hood River.

First time staying in Hood River Inn. Great location with nice big room and restaurant. Many amenities that we didn't have to enjoy like the pool and gym. There is a nice river walk too with kayak rentals, etc.

We went to the restaurant, very good food. The VIEW is beautiful.

What a wonderful hotel, location, and value! We brought our dog and appreciated that the pet-friendly room was on the ground floor with a slider leading outside. They provided a nice doggie treat bag. The room was comfy and quiet. We wish we had more time to explore the lovely "Shoreline Path" that's along the river. The views are gorgeous! We took advantage of the breakfast vouchers and dined in the restaurant (again, with gorgeous views of the river). Breakfast was DELICIOUS. There can be a bit of a wait, so try to go early.

River view room totally worth the extra price. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was super delish.
