We really enjoyed the tasting experience. The staff was skilled with not only the descriptions and tasting notes of the wines, but even where the grapes that they used to make the wines in house came from. Will definitely visit again next time we're in the region.
We had a group of 4 and we shared 2 tastings. Nice and relaxed tasting. The staff were very knowledgable about the wines and AVAs. Enjoyed the scenery from the enclosed patio.
Deanna was amazing a wonderful experience
Cathedral Ridge Winery in Hood River Oregon offers a beautiful view, award winning delicious wines and amazing atmosphere. We had a very wonderful time and enjoyed the friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff that made sure our experience was one to remember. The wines, of course were exceptional. I definitely recommend stopping by here if you find yourself in the area and it is well worth the drive from the Happy Valley or the Portland area. Saluti! đ·
My husband and I came here to try something different. We did the reserve tasting that comes with choice of chocolate. We also got the deluxe pairing plate which was very good. Would like to come back during summer months.
Major kudos to the cathedral ridge winery.
I gave this 5 stars, I would've added more if I could.
My friend & I attended the easter egg hunt event for adults on Sunday, April 13 th.
We had sooo much fun!!
Can't wait til next yr.
WAHOO! I even found a golden egg!
The yummy food, the wine & treats were great!
The 2 ladies that were taking care of us were extremely knowledgeable & very attentive. Both have worked at winery for many years.
We attended the adult Easter egg event and have to say very disappointed. First, I think itâs tacky to put discount coupons to buy their product as part of the âegg huntâ. Second, we paid $120.00 for a box lunch and a glass of wine. That seems extreme and had we know I donât think we would have participated in the event. It seemed like just a marketing ploy that I didnât appreciate. As the last reviewer said there are many great options in the gorge and I think these folks should be a little more straight forward. As the last person said, not real dog friendly and I would say not really a fun event when the prize is discount coupons in there products. Not sure I will be back.
We stopped by to do a wine tasting here. While it looks very pretty. We did not stay or see more than the parking lot due to the fact that they advertised as âdog friendlyâ but they clearly are not. They limit the dogs to a small strip of grass with three metal tables several feet from the actual winery and across a parking lot. While I understand not wanting dogs on their property they should simply state that not pets are allowed so that people traveling with a pet donât make the drive. Due to their lack of access to people with pets we were unable to even try their wine so I cannot state weather or not they are any good. Thankfully this is a very large winery area and we were able to be accommodated at another amazing location so thankfully the drive was not wasted.
The barrel tasting experience with Anna was AMAZING!! Thank you so much for a wonderful day and delicious wines.
Extremely disappointing that this âaward winningâ winery does not welcome minors = my 3 year old. Despite the rain and snow, we still drove to this winery for a tasting only to be rejected. Sure itâs says no one under 21 years welcome on their website, but I missed that part. I offered to have a quick tasting in the shop, and/or ensure my child would be well behaved by allowing his screen time. Still a no. I understand not disrupting other peopleâs experience, which I would also not allow. But keen to purchase a case to be shopped back to NYC, I guess this exclusive winery doesnât want my business. Parents with kids, do not go. Not worth your time.

Good wine and service!
DeAnna is a great host! Very good wine selections and a pleasant atmosphere.
I always enjoy wine tasting here. The wines are divine, and today, our attendant was especially helpful in finding a sweet wine in a region of dry wines for my friend. I've also been a member here in the past and loved the benefits, including wine delivery. They have vineyards and a large grassy lawn and garden area with views of Mt. Adam's and the gorge.
Another wonderful experience at this winery.
Last year, we randomly stopped at Cathedral Ridge to get a flight of wines to enjoy. We were amazed at the quality of the wines we tasted. As a result, we joined their wine club. As a member, we get an annual barrel tasting experience. Being from out of state, we still decided to plan an entire vacation around the barrel tasting even though that includes travel costs. We convinced 3 other couples to join us to help celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our host, DeAnna, was absolutely amazing!! She guided us through the different wines and helped educate us on winemaking. She was so much fun to interact with...very personable!! We most definitely are not wine conniseurs, but rather consumers, so I am pleased to share that the quality of the wines is still amazing. We have already started making plans to visit again next year!!!
