Fantastic restaurant. Hood River staple for 20 years and for good reason. Food and service both excellent lots of interesting choices highly recommend.
Entire team from reservation to rafting excellent. Guide Ryan's cogent safety advice to elderly and information were very helpful, making a cold and rainy day a thoroughly enjoyable event. Lunch was healthy and delicious and accommodated dietary restrictions.
Food, service and ambiance was all top notch. Great place to gather for an incredible tasting meal. Highly recommended. Somewhat limited vegetarian options, but what is available is awesome and delicious.
There is a good place to try something diferent...
Their menu online said that they had halibut and I made reservations, online they emailed me five times to make sure that I wanted the Halibut because I wanted a bigger piece five times they emailed me so we came from Vancouver Washington they sent no email saying they didn't have it or I wouldn't have showed up. they waited till we got there to tell us they didn't have no halibut , I really wanted that 48th anniversary it's why we came to the restaurant and the restaurant knew it, no creme brulee which it is on their menu they say it's not in season creme brulee okay the cheesy polenta was out of season 2 . I don't get what's out of season that should be all the time this was a nice restaurant but no seasoning on the steaks they were Bland no salt no pepper the stakes were cold when we got it some kind of potatoes that was smashed that was so greasy it was hard to eat the asparagus was so big it was like eating the tree trunk I was so disappointed they were so good with the halibut and the cheesy polenta.. drinks went to no liquor in it if there was you sure couldn't taste it didn't get no high you didn't get nothing off of the drinks This restaurant went from night to day I would never go back again they went from a 10 to a two in my books. Be aware
Great wine , amazingly fresh forward food. Plesant atmosphere , great service, nice vibe!
We had dinner at this restaurant yesterday. We arrived at 8:00pm. It was busy for Wednesday night. The hostess was in the back so we had to wait a little to be seated. Our waitress with dark hair was friendly. I got their special: Spring Veggie Pasta. I didn't ask for the price, but later I looked at the receipt and did the math. It was about $35.00. ***They charge a 3% fee for credit card payment*** The veggies were fresh and the sauce was not overly strong compared to other restaurants in the states. It was good. My partner ordered the Cecili Burger. He wasn't able to finish it so I was going to for him. The burger was on the dry side and the fries tasted bitter like they were burned. I have a big appetite and hate wasting any food, but I wasn't able to finish it. Lastly, I found the hostess disrespectful. She said nothing to me or even didn't look at me when we walked in and out. Even my partner noticed it.
As a wedding photography company I wanted to say that Celilo Restaurant elevates the dining experience to an art form, which translates beautifully into photographs. We have had the pleasure of working with them at The Orchard in Hood River. Photographing their dishes is a highlight, and the guests always love the food!
Chill atmosphere with a nice selection of local fare.
Amazing food and service. Everything was of the highest quality. Can’t recommend enough

This was my fourth time dinning at Celilo. I made a reservation and checked in with the host to a somewhat busy lobby. We sat as we waited for our table for around 20 mins. We noticed the lobby get empty and many tables open up but sat patiently for our table. The host had forgotten we checked in apologized us and sat us. Once we got seated it took our server 15 minutes to greet us. We almost got up and left but noticed someone walking over so we remained. We ordered an app(fries) and 1 drink. The fries took a while to deliver in which I got first before my drink (15 or more mins) and I watched as my drink sat in the bar window for 20 mins. Yes odd to get my app first and then not the drink. With these many missed check ins I didn’t have high hopes for the food but the food was amazing per usual. Service was lacking in many ways that I will not be back unfortunately. It wasn’t even a busy night and the restaurant was properly staffed.

Went for Happy Hour on a Tuesday. As usual we turned it into a meal after the HH treats were so tasty. I had the beet salad and the wife had the berry salad, then we shared the steak and frites. We arrived early so it was not that busy and sitting in the bar area we could have a conversation.
Service and food was outstanding.

Had a wonderful meal at Celilo. Just a simple beer and hamburger after a long day hiking. My top priority when choosing a restaurant is one that serves organic food or has a heavy farm to table influence. Locally sourced food from Farmers that care always tastes better.
As you can tell by other reviews for Solo, the food is unquestionably very well prepared. In my case, it was no different. They have a few equals in Hood River when it comes to locally sourced food prepared to an elevated level.
