This was my fourth time dinning at Celilo. I made a reservation and checked in with the host to a somewhat busy lobby. We sat as we waited for our table for around 20 mins. We noticed the lobby get empty and many tables open up but sat patiently for our table. The host had forgotten we checked in apologized us and sat us. Once we got seated it took our server 15 minutes to greet us. We almost got up and left but noticed someone walking over so we remained. We ordered an app(fries) and 1 drink. The fries took a while to deliver in which I got first before my drink (15 or more mins) and I watched as my drink sat in the bar window for 20 mins. Yes odd to get my app first and then not the drink. With these many missed check ins I didn’t have high hopes for the food but the food was amazing per usual. Service was lacking in many ways that I will not be back unfortunately. It wasn’t even a busy night and the restaurant was properly staffed.

Went for Happy Hour on a Tuesday. As usual we turned it into a meal after the HH treats were so tasty. I had the beet salad and the wife had the berry salad, then we shared the steak and frites. We arrived early so it was not that busy and sitting in the bar area we could have a conversation. Service and food was outstanding.

Had a wonderful meal at Celilo. Just a simple beer and hamburger after a long day hiking. My top priority when choosing a restaurant is one that serves organic food or has a heavy farm to table influence. Locally sourced food from Farmers that care always tastes better.
As you can tell by other reviews for Solo, the food is unquestionably very well prepared. In my case, it was no different. They have a few equals in Hood River when it comes to locally sourced food prepared to an elevated level.

I visited the Celilo with a group of ladies to celebrate a bachelorette. We had made a reservation well in advance for 5 ladies. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait as our reserved table was not ready. We arrived 5 minutes early and waited for a 7:00 reservation to be ready until 7:30. After we were finally seated, it took another 10 minutes for the waitress to come over. When she finally came she shared the specials and left. Another 10 minutes or so passes by and she comes back to take our drink order which we figured we should also order our food too given how slow it was. We ordered food and drinks. Partway through this order OUR SERVER LEFT to attend to another table! Apparently we were not high priority. She made that very clear. She said "I am being waved over to another table". I found that extremely rude. Our order was finally fully taken and our drinks arrived 10 minutes later. We saw other tables seated after us with only 1-2 less people have their orders taken and get their food much faster than us with what appeared to be much better service. Our food did eventually come out but it took another hour or so after it was ordered to arrive. The server didn't let us know why it was taking so long or really check in on us at all. She barely attended to our table. We had to ask her for another drink when glasses were clearly empty, we had to ask for more water when our pitcher was out. Overall, the food was good but the waiter we had at least was horrible. I wouldn't go back there without some serious persuading. We should have found another place to eat when they originally made us wait for 30 minutes for a reservation. It was extremely unprofessional and rude in my opinion. We were all dressed very nicely and really had no idea why we were treated so poorly. It was a very disappointing experience. I would expect that kind of experience with a larger group but there was only 5 of us. At least I was in good company with the group of girls. The atmosphere was nice and classy as well.

I had the shrimp fettuccine and my husband the New York steak. We started with the cheese platter and beet salad. The fettuccine had a wonderful eggplant and tomato tapenade that took it to the next level . It was a divine meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Terrible service. Over-rated. Distinct sense that if your face fits (usually to do with money) then you'd be well looked after. Even simple aspects of service poor. Asked to wait initially when we arrived on time for our booking. Server arrived 10minutes after we were shown to our table - apology bring that he'd been looking after a group of important people pointing to another table. Asked what Sauvignon Blanc wines were available by the glass and got shown a list of red wines because there was a Cabernet Sauvignon in the list. No spoon brought with coffee. The food was ok - nothing special for the money and arrived somewhat piecemeal from the kitchen. If you pay by credit card you have to walk over to a little podium by the servers entrance to the kitchen to pay. And then they take an additional 3% because you've used a card. Seemingly unable to absorb credit card fees despite their high priced food. Tries to be high end but ultimately service significantly below par and partisan. First time I've not paid service in a Restaurant.

Ok so we had quite possibly one of the best meals ever! The apricot salad was perfect, paparadelle with shiitake mouth watering, steak with potatoes in horseradish over the top. Michelin needs to get in here and check this out! Thanks for a great food experience!

Always treat myself here whenever I’m in the area. I first experienced their food at a wedding through catering which was fantastic so I was glad to find their restaurant too! Wish they were closer to PDX, I would be a regular!

We were visiting Hood River and decided to have dinner at Celilo. it was around 9:30 PM (closing time 10 PM) Jill the hostess greeted us warmly and guided us to our table. The food was amazing. Raechel, our waitress was amazing. She checked on us several time. All staff did all they could to make this dinner a pleasant memory for us. Thank you!
We will definitely dine there again in the future.
