We had a marvelous dinner experience at Celilo while we were visiting Hood River. Lovely Northwest vibes in the dining room, with delish dishes and impeccable service. Highly recommended!

Such a lovely spot for a special occasion in Hood River. Rachel took care of us and was sweet and attentive and made sure we got the best of the menu. I will dream of the salmon cake.

There was not a single thing we ordered that was not amazing. Okay the Brussels sprout leaf salad was only “pretty darn good” but everything else was perfection. So many flavors. I will come back here every time I am in Hood River.

The food was top notch and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful in providing recommendations. We came without a reservation and were sat at the bar within twenty minutes or so but I’d recommend getting a reservation in advance.

We had a lovely dinner with great service, but would love to see more commitment to supporting Indigenous communities from this renowned restaurant. If you're going to take your name from a place that was destroyed by settlers and a people who were displaced, you should put your money where your mouth is and honor where your name comes from.

A romantic dinner for a special evening, with a nice atmosphere. We visit Hood River area often but had not tried this restaurant and we were celebrating our anniversary. We started off with the clams, caprese, and arugula salad. Our main courses were the salmon and the pappardelle with sugo. We finished with cheesecake and the Elise DeChannes. Everything was presented well, the service was divine, and we took our time to enjoy everything. Very professional. Will definitely return.

Had take out from celilo tonight under the name Philip. Really excited to try it out but was extremely disappointed with my order. We had the salmon fettuccine and pappardelle with meat balls. The salmon was dry and other than tasting like fish, it had no flavor whatsoever. The meatballs were under seasoned and very dry. The sauce was ok. We also ordered the prawns. $12 for 4 tiny prawns. Also disappointing…. We took the food back. Very overpriced for microwave quality food (think tv dinner)…I’m beyond upset with the food. The service was nice and no complaints there but wow… I spent nearly $100 tonight. Abysmal at best. Save your money and eat at home instead. Or Taco Bell.

I do not understand their method behind madness… crazy how 2 pasta dishes and an appetizer cost $75, yet none of them was good. Meatballs were bland and sauce tasted like it’s from a bottle. Salmon fettuccine was disgusting and weird - almost like a warm pasta salad with smoke salmon and the “prawn” skewers were 4 grilled scrimp pieces for $12… absolutely disappointing. Gave the food back and not even a suggested for refund or anything.

The leg/thigh chicken entree w/ rice and broccolini was a major disappointment. The photo posted by a previous guest was a distant planet from what was served....for $36. While the chicken prep itself was okay, the broccolini was shriveled beyond recognition and the white rice appeared as a square scoop. Mostly, the food covered only half the plate (to be generous). To top it off, when the hostess asked for my feedback, I pointed out the entree's shortcomings and, instead of apologizing or at least acknowledging my disappointment, she suggested that the photo I had seen was instead the chicken breast entree that is occasionally offered, but not that evening. That sort of defensive posture from management is ill suited from what has been described as an exceptional restaurant; hence the 2/5 rating.

I haven't even finished my meal yet and knew I needed to leave a review. Ordered to go, service was quick and friendly, and each dish is amazingly fresh and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy in restaurant next time. Thanks Celilo staff for such a great meal!

I was blown away by my experience here on Wednesday night. The menu was eclectic and had interesting vegetarian options. The service was wonderful. The server was just the right amount of engaging and asked the bartender to speak with me when I had a question about a cocktail and dessert pairing. The music and overall atmosphere was fantastic. The food was great. And, it was open later than other places in the area for dinner.I'm looking forward to coming back to Hood River next year so I come here again.

Our group of 9 truly enjoyed and appreciated our custom, 7 course, set menu. We had a team of wait staff. We lacked nothing this evening.
