Didn’t expect much, but best drip and best scone we had in Hood River. Not to mention the caramelized onion breakfast Sammie… mmmmmmm. Highly recommend for full breakfast and / or coffee.

The medium roast coffee is very good. The #4 breakfast sandwich and the ham & egg croissant are delicious and recommended for those that enjoy such. The setting and atmosphere are informal and cozy.

We came to doppio on sunday as well as monday. On Sunday, we came in at about 4:30pm. my friends and i ordered an iced warm hug latte, a chai smoothie with a shot of espresso, and an iced matcha latte in a separate order. the iced matcha came out first. i could see that the employees whisk the matcha, however it came out super milky, clumpy and gritty. my partner and i were waiting for our order for around 15-20 minutes. we noticed that our order hadn’t come out yet so we went up to the counter to ask about its status. It was hard to get anyone’s attention even though there were multiple employees on the floor. it turns out they had forgotten about our order/it didn’t go through, so they sent it through again. When our order came out, my drink was hot even though i ordered it iced, and the espresso tasted burnt. my partners smoothie clearly didn’t have an espresso shot in it. i’m not the type to send orders back so i just took my loss and left. On Monday we returned with hopes that the closing crew was just having a rough night. Friend ordered an iced matcha again, this time it came out not clumpy so they did enjoy it more. i ordered a cold brew with vanilla. I was a little disappointed again… i’m curious to how the cold brew is made because it was super watery in taste and appearance. The pastries we ordered were good and they have a pretty extensive food menu which is always nice. however, i do not think i would come back as the drinks were not amazing, and the service wasn’t great either.

This place is excellent, whenever I come through town I make it a point to stop here. The best cup of coffee that I know of anywhere. The only criticism I have would be the seating is a bit squishy. But worth it.

Randomly stopped by here on my way back to Portland. The food was so good and came out hot. I got a drip coffee that had free refills and this #3 vegan sandwich. So delicious next time I’m coming this way I’ll definitely stop by again.

Short review, as we stopped in post lunch time for some hot libations. Tea is one price, 8-12-16 oz.. Apple Cider can be hot. Can't remark on the coffee, but, this is Oregon... so, pretty much assured they have coffee down right.
Pleasant staff, still dutifully turning g out hot panini, pastries, and other lunch-y stuff. Several pastry case items were vegan or gluten-free.
Open windows in early October means a fly or three, here and there. Big windows, plenty of light on sunny days. Plenty of two top and bigger seating, but I bet it still gets packed during lunch rush.
Plenty of paid street parking, but I haven'r seen ANY enforcement around....
Tidy and clean.

I used to frequent this coffee shop and loved their smoothies and paninis. I recently came back and boy was I disappointed. The line was huge, which is understandable, but the food and drink quality has decreased substantially. The smoothies were watered down and unflavorful - I saw the barista pour boiling water to get the ice to melt quicker. Service isn't friendly and place wasn't very clean. This was a pretty bad experience and won't be coming back.

Great gluten free and vegan options! My mom and my daughter and I all have different tastes but each found something delightful!
I had a terrible experience at Doppio Coffee in Hood River on Sunday, September 14, 2025. I ordered the steel cut oats specifically without hazelnuts — a simple request. When the food arrived, it had hazelnuts all over it. I brought it to the waitress's attention, and instead of offering a solution, she told me it was the last serving and then asked, “Well, are you allergic?”
I'm honestly not sure why that would even matter — I ordered it without them. Whether it’s a dietary restriction, allergy, or personal preference, the order should be respected. She did offer a replacement, but I regretted accepting it. The breakfast sandwich she brought out was bland and disappointing.
The poor service didn’t stop there. I asked the barista if they had caramel sauce. They just looked at me blankly, so I repeated the question. They mumbled “yes” and went right back to what they were doing. I had to get their attention again to ask if I could please have some. Instead of speaking or showing any basic courtesy, they just slammed the entire bottle of caramel on the counter in front of me and turned away without saying a word.
Overall, this was a horrible experience. From the careless handling of my order to the rude, indifferent staff — I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better options in Hood River where customers are treated with kindness.
