I had a terrible experience at Doppio Coffee in Hood River on Sunday, September 14, 2025. I ordered the steel cut oats specifically without hazelnuts — a simple request. When the food arrived, it had hazelnuts all over it. I brought it to the waitress's attention, and instead of offering a solution, she told me it was the last serving and then asked, “Well, are you allergic?”
I'm honestly not sure why that would even matter — I ordered it without them. Whether it’s a dietary restriction, allergy, or personal preference, the order should be respected. She did offer a replacement, but I regretted accepting it. The breakfast sandwich she brought out was bland and disappointing.
The poor service didn’t stop there. I asked the barista if they had caramel sauce. They just looked at me blankly, so I repeated the question. They mumbled “yes” and went right back to what they were doing. I had to get their attention again to ask if I could please have some. Instead of speaking or showing any basic courtesy, they just slammed the entire bottle of caramel on the counter in front of me and turned away without saying a word.
Overall, this was a horrible experience. From the careless handling of my order to the rude, indifferent staff — I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better options in Hood River where customers are treated with kindness.

SO good. I had a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, an iced latte, and a banana chocolate chip muffin. The sandwich was good except the very sharp cheddar and peppered bacon felt like overkill to me. Too much bite. The latte and muffin really stole the show. The muffin was to die for.

Really excellent breakfast! I truly enjoyed every aspect of the breakfast I got! The avacado toast was made well and the goat cheese was a great touch. I added some salt and hot sauce to mine and it was perfect! The iced Chai tea was really nice and had a good balance of spice and sweet. I also really enjoyed my Greek yogurt with fruit as well! This was wonderful! I loved how parking is free before 8 am in the town so I wasnt worried about the meter! The baked goods looked amazing and we will have to try them next time!

Bagels are fresh and very tasty. Service was polite and very prompt, considering the place was filled with parents with children. Latte excellent. Tables clean. The window that opens onto the patio was open, and the fresh Hood River air kept the place cool.

Must have the cinnamon roll croissant. Best pastry in town. Great coffee and toppings/fix ins bar. Love the ambience of the outdoor and indoor patio with fountain. Perfect place to start your day in Hood River!

Stopped at this eatery for lunch before heading out to Mt. Hood Lodge. We had sandwiches and smoothies and they were all delicious. Customer service is top notch plus the Oregon berry smoothie was amazing.
