They have a good breakfast sandwich that is actually made to order.

What a find! Wish we had more time to look. We bought moonstone sake - 3 bottles

At first glance this place is adorable, but then when you sit and wait 25 minutes for a single sandwich (the cafe portion is empty), it gets real….. gross. There is dirt and grime everywhere! The walls, the pastry case, the napkin dispenser, walls, doorways, all the tables are dirty, the garbage bin area and cabinets, the dish tubs are full, it’s just…. Gross. I am curious about health inspections and whether or not anyone has ever deep-cleaned this joint since opening. My BLAT wasn’t bacon, I don’t know what it was but I couldn’t even eat it, so if it was meant to be vegan, I didn’t know and thought vegan was an OPTION and not the norm- if the norm, please put more disclaimers up. So it was a very expensive tomato sandwich. The store portion is really cool, but not on my recommended restaurant list.

After waiting 40 minutes for a simple sandwich and watching people that ordered after me get their food, I decided to just leave. Poor customer service

Worst customer service ever. Extremely rude and inconsiderate. Literally zero customer service. And on top—WAY overpriced for hippie food. Don’t waste your time.

The deli food is great! I had the vegetarian BLT with tempeh was delish, as was the vegetarian soup special- curry squash lentil. YUM! Excellent vegetarian selection (a whole section of menu, in fact.) The deli food was all a reasonable price too. The groceries were nicely curated but expensive. I will definitely return to try the quinoa burger next time I’m in town!

What a great place to grab a smoothie, a healthy snack, or some yummy fruit. Loved this place so much!

This review isn’t about the food it’s about the service. What a cluster! I conduct lunch and learns with dental offices. They choose this place. I requested that the order be ready by 12:30. I finally get the order at 12:45. Once I get to the dental office they tell me they are missing a lunch. The office calls the restaurant to tell them, so I head over to pick it up. They hadn’t even started on it and told me a big order is ahead of me. Don’t use this if time is of essence. Totally ruined my opportunity to do my job and earn a living.

It’s a little too crunchy for me. The Reuben and salads were awesome, but I need real root beer, not a mushroom elixir that says “root beer”

Best place for a quick bite in Hood River

This is a new addition to The Dalles. It's a bit pricey. They have some unique items and some you can find at other big box stores for cheaper.
Nice looking vegetables.

Suggest they put a bell at the cashier station for customers to ring if there is no one near by to assist.

Also suggest they get ADA accessible- a button at the entry doors for handicap folks to push and enter.

Sandy’s were delicious! They even threw in some free banana bread for my son. On tap kombucha was on point!

Nice to have such a place in a small town.
Friendly staff, good breakfast/lunch, only drip coffee.

We ordered the big easy sandwich; unfortunately, the eggplant was not done and not roasted. We asked them to use hummus instead of the garlic aioli.

Dilly tuna sandwich was good.

The ultimate beef burrito was a little bland.

The Asian slaw burrito was tasty.

I would go somewhere else for coffee.

Groceries are expensive.

In general, it is a good friendly and clean place with healthy food options and WiFi and I would like to come back here.

This place is lovely, and overpriced (but ok for a splurge). Two stars as a matter of principle ... their cafe no longer posts prices!!!!

Hood River isn't cheap, and tourists regularly pay a premium to be here. No telling people how much (or even knowing when asked) is honestly kind of disrespectful to your customers. We aren't all just wandering piggy banks that spit up the sum of your choosing when you push a button. We used to eat here every time we came to town ... that ended this year.
