What a cool space! We stopped by on Halloween and tried a few of the $4 mini cocktails. All were absolutely delicious. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly too.
Absolutely loved the vibe of this place. The bartenders are knowledgeable about the flavor profiles and make great suggestions. It was so fun to taste so many different flavors, price ranges and types of spirits. Definitely a "must do" if you're in Hood River and enjoy adult beverages!
Excellent vibes with a very cool vault with some history. The tasting options were great with $2 1/2 oz samples of their spirits and $4 mini cocktails, we were able to try all the seasonal cocktails and a few of the spirits. Will was our bartender and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and funny. He was able to answer questions about Hood River in general, the history of the building and the company, as well as the drinks. I will definitely be visiting again and will recommend to friends.
Uhhh ah, the capone set are not ...
Didn’t have the best experience. Beautiful tasting room… the distillery had already been open for about an hour upon our arrival, we tried to sit at the bar top but was told to sit elsewhere by the lady working because she had gardening supplies sitting along the counter top. As we find a new place to sit she then proceeds to tell us that we’re not able to order any of the $3 cocktails because she had not yet made any… poor service.
My wife and I went in around 5pm on 12/19/22 and just wanted to check it out. We wach did a sample tasting and really enjoyed it. I didn't get the young ladys name but she was wearing a red sweater with deck the halls with hops and barley on it. She was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the array of liquors. We really enjoyed the experience. Thank you.
Rose was so nice, informative and fun talking to.
Don't waste your time visiting this place. The overweight tattooed gal is a rude B. Nuff said
We stopped by to escape the heat and we’re so glad we did! I tried one of the $3 mini cocktails with hibiscus and cardamom, yum. My husband tasted a few different whiskeys and enjoyed them all. Rose was stellar, a wealth of information. Ask about the pear in the bottle!
Our stop at HRD was one of our trip highlights. Located off Oak St in Hood River, they were super accommodating for our party of six when we dropped by for a tasting without a reservation! You choose 5 items from their menu per tasting - they have a variety of spirits or you can choose mini cocktails off their seasonal cocktail menu - the mini cocktails are a must try because they are so creative! Our server did an amazing job explaining the different types of spirits, sharing the history of the distillery and giving mixed drink suggestions for each. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products she was serving us. Needless to say, we left with souvenirs. Favs were Ullr, Yazi and some Portland Syrups. Those syrups are also amazing!

Really enjoyed their peat and raspberry eau de vie. You can tell the lady working there enjoys her job and she knows her business.

Friendly staff with monthly creative cocktail tasting! Stop in to grab a bottle of your favorite spirits or try something new! I love that they carry The Bitter Housewife cocktail bitters and edible glitter so you can re-create your favorite drinks at home! Tastings are just $3! We tried City of Roses & Ulle's Arrow. So good!
Very good prices for tastings and mini mixed drinks! The whiskeys and brandy here are very good. We visit here every time we pass through Hood River
Very nice tasting room with a wide selection of spirits and cocktails (or mocktails for the driver). $2 per sample (0.5 oz), $3 per mini cocktail, and $6 for a full sized mocktails. All of it was delicious.Friendly and knowledgeable staff complete the experience. We tried the timberland vodka (good), clear creek pear brandy (excellent), old delicious bourbon barreled apple brandy (good), trail's end Oregon oak finished bourbon 10 year (very good), McCarthy's single barrel select (cask strength - very peaty but very good/smooth), McCarthy's Oregon single malt whiskey 6 year (very good) and big gin (excellent). Someone traveling with us is very well versed (works in industry) and they were impressed. Also ordered the strawberry lemonade and it was delicious.
