Amazing from food, coffee, staff to atmosphere. Highly recommend

I recently visited Kickstand in Hood River and tried their menu item called the “20 Dollar Burrito.” Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed. The burrito felt like a basic pile of ingredients just thrown into a tortilla without much care or flavor. It didn’t seem thoughtfully made at all.

On top of that, the staff wasn’t very helpful or friendly. When I asked for a recommendation, they acted like they didn’t really eat there themselves. And when I asked for a second salsa, it felt like they were kind of stingy about it, reminding me I’d already gotten one as if they didn’t want to give another. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for.

Great food, friendly and efficient service, and cool owners! I'm not usually fond of quick service restaurants, but the person who brought us our food went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and even checked in on us. Also, their Bloody Marys are spicy and oh so delicious. Will def be back!

First of all, it was so hot in there, both my husband and me were sweating. It felt the same temperature outside as it did inside. There was also a ton of flies flying around. I ordered the Mole de la Casa and it was probably one of the worst things I have ever ordered at a restaurant or eaten. The boa buns were soggy and flavorless. My husband’s chicken sandwich was “okay”. I thought this place would be good because of the reviews, but we were left hungry and disappointed. Would never recommend to anyone.

Love, love, love! Food and service are always top-notch. The food is truly special and absolutely fantastic. We've had a few not so great cocktails, but everything else is wonderful.

Ok, at first glance it's a cute little place. Friendly staff as soon as we entered. Sat down, looked at the menu and thought, 'not gonna like this'. Wife saw my disappointment. Ordered a dry cider, really good by the way, picked the twenty dollar!!! burrito and waited. Holy crud was I wrong with my initial reaction. Massive, massive meat filled burrito, and the wife's chicken sandwich looked like a 1/4 chicken. The food was AMAZING and I ate humble pie. The cheesecake dessert was just plain great also. Do not pass this place up, it was worth every cent and more.

We love this place. Terrific coffee. Unique foods. Huge burrito! Vegan options! A true local restaurant for active residents that also caters to visitors—especially in the summer months.
