You can't go wrong with a couple beer battered fish tacos, they give you big pieces of fish and they are delicious. Was feeling like trying something different so I asked about the Morena, was described as a sort of mexican pizza and that's definitely a good description. Let me tell you the Morena is amazing! It's cheesy and savory, exactly what I was craving!

It's a very cozy restaurant and the staff are very friendly.I ate three flavors of taco. The pork was really smooth and full of ingredients. The seafood is well seasoned. Overall delicious!

January 17, 2024Passing through Hood River Oregon, we had the bad luck to go through a winter storm that closed Highway 1-84 and we found that there is no Uber delivery and no restaurants that would bring food since we brought a tractor-trailer with a double trailer and only here they let us arrive state policeBut I want to infinitely thank the owner of lake taco who gave us burritos and burritosI recommend that you visit Mr. Enrique, thank you for the food, very delicious, thank you very much, a very nice experience that he gave us.Thank you ?

I want to give a huge thank you to Enrique who blessed us with free food when we got stuck on the side of the road due to the winter storm. All the restaurants & stores were closed. He was out there in the dark handing all the truckers a plate & a drink. The chicken burrito was very delicious & we will be stoping by again when we come again. Thank you Enrique god bless.

Indoor and outdoor seating available . Cozy seating and enough room for large parties (8-10). The in-house complimentary potato chips basket is a must-try! One cannot get enough of it!The Pollo, fish, veggie burrito/quesadilla/ tacos were all great ! Something as simple as a side of rice was delicious too! Prices were very reasonable as well, staff was friendly and cheerful! Will definitely go back with the family!Vegetarian options: Veggie burrito was huge, filled with fresh ingredients, can be made vegan too

Here’s the scoop: Homemade corn tortillas, very soft and fresh. Authentic! Lots of fresh shredded cabbage and the cream on the fish taco is good. The beer battered fish is fresh. Friendly service (husband and wife team?). Drinks are a choice if 4 Mexican mixed drinks:margarita, Paloma and a couple others. Also authentic. No beer, there are some bottled Mexican sodas. Downstairs is another business which sells local beer. But they have loud music which the sign tells you is cool, but it’s on the very alternative of the alternative side. If you sit out back it’s loud . Get a table on the front outdoor table area. Sunday menu is just tacos. They serve homemade potato chips, no tortilla chips. The red taco sauce is really good! Smoky. I’d stop here for quick tacos again if I was looking for tacos

Lake taco stood out during my time in Hood River for the kindness and friendliness of the staff. The food is very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and authenticity, and is on par with great Mexican food I've had in Mexico. I loved the atmosphere, and the selection. Next time I find myself in Hood River I'll be sure to add a stop here.
