You usually don’t go into a brewery in an emotional crying state. We were on vacation Saturday and shortly before entering Pfriem I got some hard news to take in about my family. It was a lot to process and I decided I just needed to push on with the evening and try to process it later. Zach picked up on my emotions immediately, hard not to, but he treated my husband and I with so much empathy, and love honestly. He assisted us that evening, and really treated us with compassion. It was so touching to be cared for in the situation I was in and the place I was. Obviously incredible beer, but Zach is who I would hope would be our server in good times and bad. Thank you for your support during this difficult time. ❤️

Always an amazing experience.First class beer and food. All of the beer is excellent but pay attention to the seasonal and barrel aged selections. The food is also excellent. Pay attention to the seasonal menu. This time around I had the meatballs in Leige sauce. Awesome. And the brownie was luscious.Patronize this establishment! You will not be disappointed.

I came here on a Monday evening around 6:30 PM with my two small dogs. I sat outside on the patio. I had the bread and butter, the Hunter’s chicken off their seasonal menu, and a cider. The food was very delicious and I will probably come back, but not with my dogs and I’ll probably sit inside if it means avoiding the waitress that I had. Google says “Pets Welcome” but it’s more like pets tolerated. I have never been told that my dogs are not allowed on outdoor seating and I would understand if it was cloth but we’re talking their concrete benches. It makes me wonder why since it is a non porous surface and can be wiped down. Also, it seemed like the waitress was purposely avoiding me which is another thing I don’t normally experience, but I did just dye my hair pink, so I wonder if that’s why. It’s not a good excuse, but its the only thing I can think of. At one point I had been waiting to order another drink, and as she was making her rounds around the fireplace, she actually looked the other way from me as she’s passing my table when I’m staring directly at her. I shouldn’t have to yell or chase down my waitress with my two small dogs. She didn’t have to come all the way up to my table since it’s such a small space, she could have looked in my general direction and ask if I need anything. After my food had arrived she immediately came over and asked if it was OK and then she didn’t come up to my table again until I was totally done with my meal. If she would have provided the same attention to me as she was to other customers she would’ve made more sales and a bigger tip.

View and location are great, beer and food were both good, though the medium rare burger was definitely only medium at best. Unfortunately service was wildly lacking. Our server Devan definitely did not want to be at work today and her attitude showed in being rude and condescending. She also sneakily uncharged us quite a bit by offering an aioli with the fries that cost extra and failing to tell us some of the beers we requested in the flight cost $4 each, not the $2 each she had told us. Overall not a ton of money, mostly just really irritating to think we were paying one thing only to be surprised by the total at the end. Overall pFriem has good beer and solid food, but it is a pretentious brewery and the staff do not provide a welcoming or approachable vibe. Guests are clearly an inconvenience and only seen as a way to make money not give a good experience. For a better overall experience head a few doors up to Ferment.

Turned up for a square meal at 1800h - turns out they are only serving “introductions” (starters / appetizers for the unwashed). Here’s a tip for the owners make it clear on your website so that punters don’t waste their time. We left and went to Ferment and had a great meal.

PFriem is a fantastic and vibing restaurant/bar in Hood River. Located very close to the water front and gives a fantastic view of Washington. Staff are very nice and the beer is top notch! Most drinks are available in 3 different sizes, and the price is pretty reasonable. There are some benches outside to sit at, though I do wish there were some tables.
