Go for the view. Absolutely do NOT eat here. Service is slow. Food is subpar. Can’t pour a drink to save their lives.
This was once the place to eat in Hood River. I am not sure how they stay in business now. I guess people look at all the old reviews and give it a try. Believe me when I say you drive right past a much better food option ( McDonalds ). You are better off eating a $5 happy meal than a disgusting $32 pasta dish. There are more seasonings than just salt. Lots and lots of salt!

Atmosphere is solid, music not too loud. View is nice and the interior design is pretty.
Service people were nice, polite and helpful.
Food was absolutely a scam. Fish and chips from Costco with no seasoning in the fish as in no taste but the texture of the fish, wet and soggy fry exterior, steak cooked well done, frozen clam chowder as well due to the lack of flavor from the clam.
Easier to just pay 5 dollars to get the view and you’d walk away with more value and 45 dollars saved

We were pleased to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at Riverside Grill yesterday. The menu for this occasion was impressive. Skipping the traditionally turkey meal that was offered, we enjoyed to the fullest the following. Starters: Manila clams (my favorite for years, go no where else for this dish), Burrata & Beet salad. All delicious & perfectly presented. Second/For the Table were brussel sprouts - the description on the menu says it all. Perfectly done. We followed with gorgeous lasagna and tender, heavenly braised lamb gnocchi. The meal was enjoyed with a bottle of Analema Mosier Hills Tinto - a dry red wine that complemented this savory meal. Our server Luis was attentive & engaging.
I think the beauty of this meal is that these items are likely available on the menu now & this is where you need to go. Chef does wonders with his menus regardless. Treat yourself or loved ones to a sure thing.

Stayed for a couple nights at the hotel and got dinner at the restaurant. Included with the stay we're 2, 10$ meal vouchers for the restauran. Bonus!. Food was pleasantly delicious! Braised beef loin night 1. And prime rib dinner the next. Both were great. Can't wait to come back to try the fish and chips...enormous portion!!

The food was very good. First they brought out some good bread and with vinager and oil. We started by sharing a Ceaser salad then I had the lamb gnocchi and my husband had the fish and chips. We enjoyed our meal. My husband asked about dessert as it was my birthday and they brought us a slice of chocolate cake for free. It was a great way to end our meal. The service was friendly. I would recommend eating here and I am sure we will again. The outdoor area was closed but looks like a great place to eat in the summer with views of the Columbia River. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Beautiful scenery. Nice walking path for before or after your meal. Great service, friendly, attentive, helpful. Delicious food, except the veggie burger that comes plain - no mustard, tomato, or pickles.

We lost another good one in town.
As a local I can speak to the change in quality over the last 2 years. This was our top 3 restaurants in town 2 yrs ago. Since that time we have experienced poor food, poor service and poor bar drinks.
I don’t think I’ll return after tonight.
Ordered a pasta carbonara. way over salty. When the server arrived, she offered to replace it, but came back 5 minutes later to inform me that pancetta is salty (probably the cook asked he to tell me that… as if I was an illiterate Macdonalds eater). After the meal was remade, the floor manager came to also inform me ( educate me) that pancetta is salty…somehow I’m supposed to be ok eating a literal salt-lick
During my time waiting for the replacement dish I watched the couple near me try to get the servers attention for a drink refill… ignored and too rushed to help…
I actually told our server to help them as she hadn’t noticed they were unhappy and waiting 15min
After the meal was over the manager offered a free desert. Nice touch, but unfortunately I couldn’t even eat the desert it was so poorly made.
Very sad for this place.

Went in for later night cocktails, and had breakfast as well. Ross (?) the barman is quite pleasant, as was ALL their staff. Very clean and tidy bar. Not sure why they have two, or why one was closed so early (maybe the short crowd that grew as we sat. Ross did mention, once I asked for a,dessert menu, that they had a pumpkin flan special. I thought it might go with the Pepper Pott's Old Fashioned, and it DID. he sold it as the best pumpkin pie I ever had. Well, a close 2nd to my own... perhaps. I will be mentioning it to others, it was that good.
Breakfast in the morning... I have to say, no espresso. The coffee is solid, as were the abundant and attentive staff. The kitchen was moderately fast, and plenty of 4 tops set up as 2 tops showed a robust rotation of customers. I have to applaud the in-house Corned Beef Hash, but I opted for a toasted bagel. No timid toasting, either. My wife went for the Avocada Toast, White Omelet, etc. which sported grated cured yolk, w/ salad. More than she could finish.
All this, and excellent views from large light filled windows.
