We loved our meal sitting outside at Romuls. The appetizer bacon wrapped dates were amazing as was the meat and cheese platter. Our server was very polite and helpful. We will be back!

The food and the service here are EXCELLENT! This place was recommended to us by a friend who is a local chef in Hood River and we were so happy we went! I ordered the pasta all vodka and it was so delicious! The salad was also sooo good! My parents ordered the bolognese and the chicken marsala and everything was delicious. Additionally, my young nice ordered the Mac n cheese and it was truly the best Mac n cheese any of us had ever had. The chef came out and spoke with us and told us that they use mozzarella, parmesan, and heavy cream and it was SO GOOD. At the end of the meal, the owners wife brought out a mini chocolate tarte for my niece no charge! So sweet! We will absolutely be coming back!!! 10/10 recommend!

After searching all the travel guides, and not finding anything that jumped out at us, we walked by Romuls and decided to drop in. First off, the service is 5 Star! Super attentive and present. Our glasses never less than half full. Onto the food! The bread with oil and vinegar was so flavorful. My wife had the chicken parm and I had the Penne Sausage with Marinara. Both surpassed our expectations. My wife said the Alfredo with her chicken parm was one of the best she has had. We took raspberry cheese cake and a triple chocolate slice to the hotel and both were on par with Michelin Star level quality.

We were visiting the area and decided to treat ourselves. My husband, who loves Chicken Parm was so disappointed: He got spaghetti with red sauce and breaded chicken strips! Over $30! No cheese on top. I ordered a risotto, and I'm sorry to say I've had much better, specially for that price point. The owner was kind enough to bring complimentary sparkling wine. Which made me think this happened often. He explained this is an authentic recipe... But I guess this would never be what someone expects when ordering chicken parm, and it wasn't cheap!

Romuls in Hood River Oregon is a great place to stop and enjoy very delicious Italian cuisine, great drinks, and amazing desserts. Everything from the drinks to the food were prepared with fresh ingredients and were very delicious. The Raspberry Cheesecake was the perfect ending to a very tasty meal. Besides the meal being excellent the staff was very attentive to our needs and provided us with professional and friendly service. I would highly recommend taking the time to stop at Romuls for an enjoyable dinner and a memorable time.

Will definitely go back! The staff was so friendly, informative and just really fun to talk to. The food was also amazing, but beware the menu has so many options that it was so hard to choose! Definitely feels like a hole in the wall, mom n pop type of restaurant and they really focus on fresh, hearty Italian meals. Don’t skip dessert!! Only complaint is the lasagna had a lot of large onions that were still a bit crunchy.

Love this restaurant! I have there 3 times. We don't live in Hood River. So, getting there is always an excursion. Took siblings there for a Siblings weekend, and they made it so special with the owners themselves, making us feel like special guests.
Just had a delightful meal at Romuls. Great service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere. The mushroom ravioli was mouthwatering, the pear salad was delectable (but will ask for it to be more lightly dressed next time) and the eggplant chips were so amazing we ordered a second plate of them to share with the table. Oh, and the bread was wonderful, yeasty, and fresh, and we were told it's baked on the premises daily. We'll be back!
Vegetarian options: Not a whole lot of options for vegetarians, but the salads are lovely, the mushroom ravioli is kinda amazing, and the eggplant chips are incredibly yummy.

Ramuls is special. It’s a small town restaurant with a huge heart. The food is fabulous, the staff is attentive, and the desserts are out of this world. If you are looking for an amazing meal at a very reasonable price it’s a must! if you live in Hood River or are just visiting you will not be disappointed! Our grandson took his girlfriend tonight for homecoming! It was her first time there and she was thrilled. Her meal was excellent and the chocolate decadent cake delicious. They were treated like royalty and that made her feel so special. Thank you for making their night a memory❤️
We stopped in after dinner for dessert here and the cheesecake is FANTASTIC! My husband saw other reviews about bad experiences of people coming just for dessert so we told the hostess right away that was our plan. She asked the owner if it was ok and when he agreed we were seated right away. I’m not used to it being such a big deal to just have dessert but on a certain level I can understand it. I was so happy with my cheesecake! Our waitress Monica was very friendly and kind. My husband had the turtle tart and wasn’t wowed by it but did eat it all. He also had a glass of delicious tawny port. There wasn’t a drink menu, which seemed odd to us. Overall I would go back for the cheesecake and to try the dinner too, but just know there might be some quirks ?
