This has been one of my favourite restaurants for close to 20 years I think. Sitting in their beautiful gardens while having fantastic food and sometimes live music has created some of my best memories. Was just there again this week and everything was top notch as always. I’ve eaten here at least 25 times and it’s always a highlight for me when coming to Hood River.
One year later, and oh my gosh, still the most incredible place.
very pretty park
Tonight we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Stonehedge gardens. This is where we go for extra fine dining. It was off the chart from start to finish. Thank you so much for such great service and remarkable food!!!
The atmosphere is romantic and rustic. The jazz music playing helps with the nice vibes. The food is fantastic! Even the simple spaghetti and meatballs are phenomenal. They use a unique tomato sauce. The waitress was super attentive and nice as well.
Best food in years “Stake Diane” the best it was eating cows butter the sauce vegetables in perfect harmony and the “ Scampi Shrimp” same everything in perfect harmony, the owner walk for the restaurant and talk to you o e of the nicest persons and “Marcos the Cook 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
While the basic menu does not change much --- but is excellent --- the specials keep us coming back! Delicious pork chops and mushroom fettuccine from the specials and steak Diane from the basic menu were superb, and two starters, seared ahi and mushrooms, made our night perfect. The desserts, cheesecake and creme brulee, finished off the night deliciously.

Love this place and my husband and I make it a point to eat here whenever we're in Hood River.....actually, for us, it's just as close as going into Portland and so much more fun!
Parking: Amazing in the summer with beautiful outdoor seating but winter is also nice with cozy rooms especially the fireplace room.

The complimentary bread was good. Buffalo prawns were a good start but we waited for 1/2 hour for the appetizer. The salad was a nice combination of greens dressing and water melon, but greens were not very fresh. I got the fillet, which was either poor quality, or not a fillet, and it was overdone. At $44, way over priced. The service was terrible.

One of my favorite meals. The focaccia bread is heaven. The sauce is amazing. Crab cakes are unique and delicious. The house salad is fantastic. Crab stuffed chicken or steak Diane or filet are perfect. The crème brûlée bread pudding dessert is phenomenal. Wine list is excellent. It’s a perfect meal. Service is excellent. Slower pace. Go at sunset on a warm afternoon and eat outside. Great for a romantic evening or special occasion.

We went to Stonehedge Gardens Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We both got salads: 1 Caesar and 1 warm spinach. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. We had one steak with prawns and one chicken dish. We finished with dessert and coffee and tea. It was a lovely, flavorful meal which left us happy and glad we'd chosen this restaurant for our special dinner out. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and we didn't feel rushed, so we were able to relax and enjoy our special evening out to celebrate our 50th anniversary.

Umm, hi, wow. I'm a wedding planner and clients came to me with the idea of hosting their rehearsal dinner at Stonehedge. I'm SO thrilled they chose to move forward.
From careful preparation ahead of time with Mike to meeting every smiling and attentive face (I see you Sheila, John, Micah, Nora, Blake, Shauna, and JP!) I didn't want to leave by the end of the night. Honestly feel like I need to go back and see my new friends?!
Don't miss this hidden gem of a botanical, forest-like feel. Casual dinner or event, the food is delicious and you'll leave feeling like family.
Dietary restrictions: Servers were all knowledgable re: dietary restrictions and allergies! Their GF flourless chocolate cake is TO DIE FOR.

The "Owner" is an absolute joke. He advised his staff to hold off on putting tents up until it started pouring rain on us. Then, in the middle of a THUNDERSTORM, they are trying to tell us to cover under a tree, which is the exact opposite of what you should do. He then proceeds to blame us for his inability to plan around rain.
To top it all off, he starts yelling at the bride to be at her own rehearsal dinner when confronted about the total unprofessional behavior of his staff and himself. 75% of your space is outside, and you have no contingency plan at all for when it rains in Oregon?
This place is one of those "small town" joke restaurants that survives simply because there is nothing better in the area. It's diner quality food parading around as top teir dining. Do yourself a favor and go to McDonald's, and you'll have a better time.
