Service was good. The place hasn't been updated since the 80s, but it's clean. Had dinner on a Monday night and the dining room was empty.
Was not impressed with the food, though it was decently priced. The orange chicken was more breading than chicken; the sauce was good though. Fried rice was average. BBQ pork was too sweet for me. Boyfriend appeared to enjoy the fried shrimp.
We recently moved to Independence and were excited to try local Chinese food, hoping to find a new go-to—but this wasn’t it.
The food looked great, but the flavor didn’t match. The beef and broccoli was good (best dish we had), and the orange chicken was just okay. The biggest letdown was the General Tso’s chicken— it was very sweet with no spice at all, which was disappointing since that’s usually a highlight for me.
