Called to make a reservation and was told it was too far in advance, call on Monday the week of. Called Tuesday and was told text me your info and will get back to you. Sent detailed information including # of people, date and time frame to be flexible. Received a text back with a confirmation of 6:30 pm.
We walk in and are told we are closed even though the listed hours are until 8 pm. I reiterated the date and time. He responded with we are closed and your reservation is tomorrow. I shared we are not in town tomorrow. No apology.
I am not sure how people run their business but it is apparent the disorganization will ruin this restaurant.

This restaurant feels like a romantic little bistro you just happened upon around a corner in Paris, but in the heart of historic and lush Jacksonville, OR. The ambiance is intimate and lively, with eclectic painting and sculpture created by chef, Paul Becking, who thankfully is just as creative, inspired and adept in the kitchen. The food is AWESOME. Bursts of surprising flavors, well-balanced, unconventional takes on traditional dishes, and ingredients grown in their garden. Lovely wine and beer selection. Lovely service. Lovely everything! I’m still craving the nasturtium pesto, Brussels sprouts, and grilled Caesar. I can’t wait to make it back the next time I’m in the area.

I had the mushroom paninni and it was just ciabatta bread, no paninni.
Half of it had just 2 mushroom slices. I don't think they used more than 1 mushroom for the sandwich. What was there was good unlike their iced tea that was very expensive and not really good.

Owner is friendly and personable, food is fantastic and from scratch. Didn’t have time to take a picture before cleaning the plate! So yummy!
We stopped here after some solid trail miles. The sammies and soup lunch were amazing! 100% recommend the club and tomatoe soup combo.
The best of Jacksonville. Best food, best customer service, best wine. What else can you ask for. We love Paul and the whole C St. Bistro team!

Marvellous food. The special of the night New York strip rates among the best steaks I have ever had. The pizza was wonderful, the bread pudding with a real homemade appeal. It's 170 miles away for us, but an incentive to return to this area.
