Cute ice cream and candy shop in Jacksonville! I had a scoop of their Oregon Cookie (similar to cookies and cream) and Coconut Crunch! Both were delicious! My favorite was the coconut! I also bought taffy’s from there and they were also delicious! Friendly staff and great atmosphere!

We walked into the store and weren't greeted upon entering, which is whatever. Just a small "Welcome in" would have been nice considering there was no one else in the store. Anyway, we got there around 3:30PM, and the store hours say the close at 8:30; however, while we were looking around the store, we noticed that the girl working was taking all the ice cream from the counter to the back of the store. She didn't even ask if we wanted anything before putting everything away or even let us know that she was getting ready to close. Again, we assumed that we still had ample time considering the store hours said that they were open for another five hours. This is the second time we've been into this store, and both times have been a similar experience. I'm not sure if the employees are family to the owner or what, but they need to hire some better and friendlier help and actually stick to their hours or I can't imagine this place staying in business very long.
EDIT: After seeing the owner's response, I can certainly see where the employees get it from! And by the way, I did not have an attitude when I came into the store. I was there with my family having a pleasant day walking around Jacksonville, and we were looking forward to getting some ice cream. We were in there for about five minutes, and the employee didn't say a word to us. Why should it be the customer's responsibility to engage? That is poor customer service.

Nice little ice cream/candy shop in historic downtown Jacksonville. Super friendly staff and so many good flavors of ice cream that I had trouble deciding. Nothing beats quality ice cream made by the actual people. Definitely try the violet & cream. Unique flavor that was blended just right so as not to be overpowering.

What a beautiful shop. We came in with a party of 13 (7 indecisive kids), and the owner wasn't even fazed. She handled the crowd like a champ, and had a great personality the entire time.

Such a cute, old-timey gift shop! There's classic candy and chocolates, drinks, gifts like candles, games, blankets and most importantly, their ice cream. Soooo good!! Many delicious flavors, you'll have a hard time picking one. I know I did! I was stuck between raspberry cheesecake and huckleberry. They were fresh and light yet creamy, not too sweet. A perfect treat. The staff was so friendly, and even though they were a few minutes to closing, they didn't rush me and even let me sample.If you're looking for a one place to get treats for the whole family, this is the place. I definitely plan on returning.

This apothecary has a great selection of old fashioned candies I have not seen since the late seventies - early eighties. Awesome little store and ice cream parlor. Ice cream was delicious, and the servers were very nice.
