Very nice
South Stage Cellars is a wonderful place in Jacksonville, Oregon that offers an amazing time with excellent Rouge Valley wines and terrific entertainment. I love to come here and I always have a great time. The wine is top notch, the food is great and the atmosphere is so inviting and lively. When at South Stage Cellars the staff is always welcoming, friendly and very professional and knowledgeable about their wonderful wines. If you plan on visiting Jacksonville or the Medford area, South Stage Cellars is a must stop.
Parking was non existent. Had to walk a bit to get there, place was small and thought there weren't many people there it was uncomfortable ordering over the top of people at the bar. Staff was polite and knowledgeable. Wine and beer selection was decent though a bit overpriced. The patio area out back was pleasant and had good atmosphere. 6/10, probably won't be back again
Great wine, great vibes -- unless, of course, you get the older male bartender like I did today while stopping in for a couple of bottles to go. To his credit, I did get the wine I wanted, and the rosé was even nicely chilled. However, I have rarely felt so much like a nuisance at any business, especially one where I'm a member and spend a few hundred dollars annually.
The guy seemed put off by my entrace, which interrupted some story he was regaling the only other couple at the bar with, and made me feel mildly unwelcome for the five-or-so minutes that our transaction took. Our interaction began with him nitpicking my use of the word "like" like an irritating uncle (I'm in my late thirties), segued into a several-minute struggle between him, my credit card, the card reader, and the POS system (which he seemed irritated with me about), and ended while I was heads-down tipping him for his trouble with all the ceremony of a pilot ejecting from a burning fighter jet moments before it explodes. Re-engaged with his captive audience, he pointedly ignored me as I thanked him on my way out.
I guess it was at least seasonally appropriate for the holidays, as it had the vibe of a once-a-year chat with an older relative -- about "people these days," avocado toast, property taxes, or boot straps, perhaps -- whom I would otherwise avoid. For his sake and that of the business, I sure hope the 50+ crowd is both active and long-lived out here.
We went here for live music and were very impressed by the atmosphere of the tasting room and the experience of the staff. Tristan was incredibly helpful in sampling wine for us and described them expertly. We ordered a few appetizers and were not disappointed by the quality. This is a great spot!
Dogs allowed! Beautiful garden! Cheapest case sale in the valley! ?
Wonderful experience during the tasting! Tristan was informative and personable. 10/10 would recommend. The wine reflected the region well.

Absolutely amazing place! Outdoor seating is so relaxing and shady, so perfect to sit out even on a hot day. The inside is super cozy. Staff is also very friendly. All of the wine ordered was great

I enjoyed my time at South Stage Cellars very much! The young man serving me was very knowledgeable and attentive! The wine tasting experience was unique compared to other wineries. Many of their red wines are 10 years old or older and offer a different tasting experience from other varietals that carry the same name. For example, their Pinot Gris is an orange Pinot Gris that is both delightful and unique in flavor. Would go back!
Wonderful space and great tasting wine! Tristan is the BEST!
