A solid and different breakfast experience that still provides old favorites. I love diner breakfast but this places elevates the experience beyond eggs and pancakes, but don't worry they still have that.

An absolute gem of a restaurant in downtown Jacksonville. It’s a family favorite. The service is awesome, the food is comforting and filling without being heavy (THE CINNAMON ROLL! Get it as a little breakfast appetizer. No regrets) and the atmosphere is inviting and cozy.

I thought this was still mustard seed, when I walked in looking for lunch. Breakfast only but it was great. Had the everything omelette.

Food was good service lacking a bit on a $4 ice tea I would hope to have a refill.

I have found a new favorite breakfast spot. When we walked in the door we were actually greeted by the waitress. I can't remember the last time that happened. The service kept getting better. She was very attentive, making sure our coffee cup never went empty. When she brought us our breakfast, she delivered one of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time.I ordered the special, cinnamon roll french toast. It was so, so good. They served it will syrup, but I forget about that because there was a scoop of icing on top of the slices. I couldn't eat it all, but I gave it really good try.The Husband got eggs, bacon and a pancake that was overflowing the plate. He kept going on and on about his breakfast. The bacon was perfectly done. The pancake's texture and taste was fantastic. It was worth the drive. I will happily drive to Jacksonville again to try other items on the menu.

Cute little spot with good food. The rice dish was delicious as well as the savory bread. Also, we think the cinnamon rolls are even BETTER than they were before.

This is the old Mustardseed. The waffle I had was delicious, and my partner was very happy with his omelet. Everyone was very friendly and the plates and mugs were bright and colorful. The only challenge was the plastic plates are light and tippy when trying to cut food on them.

If I could give a 3.5, that is what this would be. Living up to the almost world famous cinnamon rolls from Mustard Seed is a tall task, and this one is sadly not close; which is just a dang shame. Judging the Sunny Side on its own merits though: solid food, but nothing truly next level. I am glad however, that the tradition of giving a little treat to the customer with the receipt lives on!
