Many guests find the view from the restaurant and the tramway trip to be outstanding, especially when combined with hikes on nearby trails that offer different perspectives over miles of valleys and towns. There are two nice hikes to the summit of Mt. Howard and a lookout point with spectacular views of Wallowa Lake, Joseph, and Enterprise. Guests should take it slowly due to the altitude, and they may encounter large chipmunks along the way.
