I Love a good dive bar. This is a good dive bar. There is a limited food menu, but the pool table and music doesn’t. Its a good place to drop by for a few drinks.

Bored on a Sunday night in La Grande, I decided to check out a local dive. I was excited because I read reviews and it seemed like their fried cheese curds were pretty good, so I decided to go out for a beer and a snack. When I arrived, the bartender didn’t mention a food menu, and only took my drink order. It was getting late for La Grande, so I figured that their kitchen was probably closed. I ordered a beer. The bartender didn’t ask if I wanted to open a tab. When I tried to pay with a card she said there was a $10 minimum. I probably would have stayed for another beer or two, but at this point I was annoyed. I did feel bad because I only had $6 cash on me, and my beer was 5.75, which means I was leaving a very shoddy tip. I probably won’t be back, the whole ordeal was awkward. The folks there seemed fun and I wouldn’t have minded spending more time there, but I didn’t feel particularly welcome

The drunk kid was pretty funny til the 72 year old birthday girl yelled at him to shut up about his godamn guns. It was still pretty funny.
