This restaurant/bar has been around for decades. My dad took me here for my first biscuits and gravy back in the late seventies. It hasn't changed much since then. The food was good, really. Seems the waitress was either slow with water, or, we had to ask for a refill. Place was clean and the food was good.

Very nice and clean diner. Husband and I stopped in to have breakfast for dinner when spending the night in La Grande before continuing our roadtrip the following morning. Jake took really good care of us. The food was good, quickly prepared, and quite reasonably priced. The interior was very clean and tidy. The kitchen is also right there in the dining room, behind the counter. Which happens to be nice because one is able to watch their food being prepared. The only draw back was the music (while great) was very loud and made it kind of difficult to have a conversation. Overall, would definitely return.

The food was spectacular. The BLT was on good bread and the tomatoes were at peak ripeness. The Philly sandwich was on a nice roll. And the fries were some of the best I’ve had - hot, crisp, and just the right amount of salt.

Great place! We ate on the restaurant side, did not go to the bar side so I can't talk about that. Staff was all super friendly, food was exactly as ordered and exactly as promised. Tasted good, well prepared, and good sized portions. The mimosa is very generous on the champagne side LOL Very down-home kind of place with hearty food and bit much frippery. Cash only but there's plenty of signs so as long as you're looking around you'll be fine. Will absolutely come back.
We went in and no one was in the front area. So, we proceeded back to the bar area. There were two people; a guy at the bar and a gal at the end of the bar with her head buried in her cell phone. We stood there for a moment to be acknowledged. She glanced at us and returned to her phone. We turned around and left the establishment. If I could rate it any lower, I would. Cash only establishment, too. We went next door to the Benchwarmer and had a wonderful meal and great service!

Amazing breakfast!! We were on a roadtrip, passing through just after 7am when they opened so we stopped in. We had the pancake combo and bacon & cheese omelette and both were great. The pancakes were exactly what you expect for a perfect, yummy, fluffy diner pancake. 2 of us with breakfast and 2 coffees was $33 before tip which is amazing. Very affordable, great food, good portions.. would recommend! *It is cash only but they do have an ATM! Great, quick roadtrip stop. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes.
