Great pizza! An understated menu item is their pesto sauce which is absolutely delicious paired with the breadsticks

I’ve had Chuckies numerous times with no complaints. Unfortunately, this time my pizza was barely done and lacked flavor. That said, my wife loved the chopped salad and the bartender was great.

Jackson is the person who greets you when you enter Chuckie Pies, and he makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. He is warm, competent, and conveys that he is there to make your experience the best it can possibly be.

This is more than just a nice pizza restaurant. Because of Jackson and the other talented staff, I am coming to a friend's home for a gourmet meal that never disappoints.

Thank you for making us feel a part of the Chuckie Pie family, Jackson – you are the best!

All the best, Kristin & Ryan

What is the fascination with this place? Did I miss the secret menu? The underground speakeasy behind the walk-in fridge? We had a reservation and were seated quickly—which was promising—until we realized we’d been sentenced to a high-top table with bar stools. Not the cozy bar with high-backed chairs that whispers date night, but the kind of seating that says, “You might be here a while… and you might develop sciatica.”

It took 10 minutes for a server to notice us. That’s not tragic, but it’s long enough to memorize the cocktail menu and question your life choices. Once we ordered, it was 38 minutes of watching our server and their friends huddle at the end of the bar like they were plotting a heist. Meanwhile, we were plotting our escape.

We shared a Caesar salad and a spicy sausage pizza. Spoiler alert: the salad was the high point. As for the pizza… folks, I’ve had better frozen pizza while half-asleep. It was small, watery, bland, suspiciously low on cheese, and somehow cost $20. You’re telling me people choose this over Apizza Scholls or Baby Doll? Why? Are they being blackmailed?

Atmosphere-wise, the vibe was oddly sterile—like eating in a dentist’s waiting room that serves red wine. A few reviews mentioned it didn’t feel inviting. Can confirm. It’s not the kind of place you linger—it’s the kind of place you make eye contact with your dining partner and silently agree, “We’re never coming back here.”

Portland is full of phenomenal Italian spots. This, sadly, is not one of them.

THE best place hands down. My cousin and I make this a monthly trip, we simply can't get enough! Lisa has created a beautiful ambiance matched with some of the the best pies around. The bartender makes very delicious drinks and also gets creative! We stayed until close one night trying all the fall seasonal drinks and were blown away!!

Chuckies Pies makes a fantastic deep-dish pizza! The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside while staying warm and soft inside—exactly what you want in a deep dish. The flavors are spot on, and you can tell they put a lot of care into their ingredients.

Beyond the pizza, the staff is friendly and welcoming. They make sure everything is just right, which adds to the great experience.

If you're in Lake Oswego and craving deep dish, Chuckies Pies is definitely worth a visit!

Chuckie pie was the best pizza place in LO but unfortunately quality and service has degraded. Pizza was dry, less cheese, less sauce… No more free peppers and no more olive oil bottles on the table…. Pepperoni was too salty too.
After paying, my wife complained that it is nothing like we had 4 years ago, so I was not the only one.

OUTSTANDING PIES

Oh my word… I can’t believe how long it’s taken me to try the pizza here. My husband has always vetoed Chuckie’s because “the pizzas are too small.” My daughter and I ordered a pizza each on a Friday night when he was out of town and he is missing out! We have a full pizza leftover (half of each pie) and it was plenty for the two of us with a steamed artichoke on top of salad.

The flavor/texture of the dough/crust is perfection and I LOVE the red sauce. The meatballs were tender and the bolognese was a dollop of pizzazz. CHUCKIE Pies has obviously taken great care with each ingredient to deliver a fantastic final product and I appreciate their attention to detail.

Pizzas were ready when they said they would be and I was glad I brought my daughter to fetch the pizzas since parking can be tight.

Spoke With Jackson, Really friendly and I believe he said he was one of the owners. I ordered the Stromboli pie and I have to say this is hands-down one of the best pies I have had in the Portland area. The balance of the spice to the rest of the flavors was As close to perfect as I think you can get. This is definitely gonna be one of my go to pizza places From now on. And Jackson remember a sourdough crust as an option would be phenomenal!
