Our local bar, in my personal opinion if you're looking for an upbeat bar, where friends meet to play fun games like DJ Bingo Tuesday nights, Shoot Pool on any night, or Sing Karaoke on Friday or Saturday Nights then this is the bar you're looking for. Very upbeat atmosphere and friendly people, so come join us.

Pictures on google maps (here) show a dog with his head on the bar. We drove there, off the highway, thinking it was dog friendly based on this photo. When we arrived, there is a prominent sign outside saying "NO DOGS ALLOWED". What a waste of time and gasoline.

It's a cute little bar this nestled away on the little Street in the main street of Lakeside it's a cute little place it's got slot machines pool table my favorite part about it is on Friday and Saturday nights they have karaoke it's a great little
Nice bartender Pam who had us belly laughing. Overall great experience and the locals (Mike) were nice as well.

There's a kind bartender and the place has a cool working class vibe. Unfortunately there is also a drunk Karen that sits on the slot machines running this place. Don't make the mistake of asking if they allow service animals inside unless you enjoy being insulted and laughed at. Karen, I recommend you brush up on the American Disability Act.

All previous reviews are outdated. I typically do not leave reviews, however, this establishment deserves a review. Ordered burgers and fries to go. Too much mayo, ketchup, and mustard on the burgers, which made them very sloppy/wet to eat. Fries were typical food service quality, nothing special. Walked in, sat down and waited. No one came with menus, so finally went to bar to inquire. Was told had to order at the bar and menu was on a chalkboard. Felt we were bothering wait staff when we ordered. Very stale odor in bar. Will not return.

Four of us rode from the dunes into Lakeside for lunch on 04/22/23. We decided to try Up The Creek Tavern and were horribly disappointed. We walked in and sat at a table; the bartender never acknowledged us even though it was not very busy. At one point she walked out from behind the bar, and we thought she was going to come over and take our order, but instead she went over and had a conversation with an individual on the video poker machine and then went back behind the bar. After waiting quite a while, we all agreed she was intentionally not taking our order, so we all got up and left. The next place we went was Osprey Point Pub and Pizza in Lakeside and the service and food was great. We left a tip that was 50 percent of the final bill for our server.

Nice little hole in the wall with music, pool tables and live bands monthly. If you're in the area, check it out. If the Quitters are playing on a Saturday night, go see the show, they Rock!
