Downtown Cafe and Bakery is a charming and historic cafe with exceptional service. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a warm welcome and accommodating experience. The menu offers a good selection of affordable and tasty dishes, including chewy bacon, which is cooked to perfection. The cafe's atmosphere is cozy and intimate, with a few tables available for seating. It is a cool spot on E Street in a building with so much Lakeview history. The food is great and they consistently get it right, from the best BLT and fries to the best burgers in town and a delicious hot turkey sandwich. Go in and see the mural and grab a milkshake or cone made with their selection of hard ice cream.
