Didn't have high expectations to begin with. When in Lakeview, hit up the Burger Queen instead. Food is 10x better and less expensive besides.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Nest, and it was a phenomenal experience from start to finish! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making us feel right at home as soon as we stepped in.The food was absolutely stellar. I indulged in the house-made chicken fried steak, which was tender and juicy beneath a crispy exterior—just how a perfect chicken fried steak should be. It was served with thick mashed potatoes and accompanied by a hearty goulash soup, a crisp salad, and fragrant garlic bread. My husband chose the fish and chips, and I must confess, despite my delicious meal, I found myself enamored with his choice. The fish was exquisitely light and flaky, with a crispy batter that was executed to perfection, but the house made tartar sauce stole the show!Adding to our exceptional dining experience was Jason, the bartender and server extraordinaire. He managed both his roles with a flair that only added to the evening's enjoyment. His friendly, efficient service made our meal all the more enjoyable. The Nest has certainly made an impression, and we're already planning our next visit. The combination of mouth-watering dishes and exceptional service, thanks to Jason and the rest of the team, ensures this spot will be a favorite for a long time to come. If you’re looking for a top-notch dining experience, look no further than The Nest!

Refreshing for weary travelers, not too heavy a meal when you order a deli, grilled or toasted sandwich with soup or salad. The various burgers were tempting but I don't regret for a second getting the grilled ham & cheese & my bride enjoyed the BLT. I might be back tomorrow for that Bunkhouse burger with eggs & bacon . . . The back of the menu has ribeye or Halibut steak choices that were equally tempting. Think about over-tipping because it isn't a bustling place.DOUG out

Eaten here many, many times - always excellent to above average... On Oct. 16th fries were slices of very cold potato skins and the burger patty was actually cold and slice of cheese still cold - not etable but took 2 bites - horrible cold. The waitress stated: "I picked it up as soon as on shelf..." She did not offer to have it heated or replaced, but took the plate away. Charged for it , payed bill and left very disgusted. A fun dinner out at a favorite Lakeview restaurant turned into Campbell's soup in camp trailer.

Seems alcohol makes you miss the crucial things, like these people don't give a damn about their customers.Edit: 30 minutes late after finishing... while watching TV had to make a pit stop in the bathroom. Thankfully I have a standing shower, I wouldn't have made it to the toilet. This is a 12 dollar burger from these losers!

They make the best BLTs with thick bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato topped with mayo on sourdough bread! Super tasty! I highly recommend!

Beer tap broken. Next ordered beer was just delivered, warm, and unavailable. Asked what beer they did have because they don't give you that menu with the food menu.... Ended up with Corona*with lime! Whatever. The burgers were good, as were the fries. Service was fine, but we definitely felt the "Y'all ain't from around here" vibe. Air conditioning felt great for the climate, it's clean, and the employees had a great rapport with each other. We love dives and this place is "just okay."

Small, cute little restaurant. Closer to our hotel not hard to find via Google. Decent selection for dinner. Small bar on the other side. Kids are allowed in the restaurant side.Kid-friendliness: Kids allowed

Needs to carpet. Atmosphere is not so great decorate n clean the bar. The restraint is ok but carpet is gross. Smells in the back area by the pool table. Food has always been good. The new guy is friendly and works hard as bartender. Don't know what the bathrooms look like k e hope they use bleach or pinesol. Dull atmosphere....dirty

Great stop for lunch. Kinda felt like and under ground bar- lightly was very dim. Walked in, sat at the bar and was greeted right away (not busy at all). Bartender quickly brought us drink and took our order. Cheeseburger with crinkle fries and fry sauce. Cran Nutty sandwich with waffle fries (fried to perfecting) & blue cheese dipping sauce.
