Birthday dinner and treated horrible by server AND indirectly, the owner! Was treated like an inconvenience. Food was so so, but afraid to say anything because of the nasty waitress. Then, kids were given little dishes of ice cream, but not even a happy birthday to the birthday lady! 😡 Just overall a bad visit with a rude older lady waitress and poor food. 7 people so a big bill, but crappy food and HORRIBLE service!

My sister and I were on our way home to Klamath Falls from Portland and stopped in here. We shared the chicken-fried steak with gravy. It was okay, nothing to write home about. I wouldn't order it again. The gravy was way too salty so we scraped it off, it changed the taste of the meat.

Breakfast at typical Bear diner was perfection. Spinach omelet, real hashbrowns, whole wheat toast w/jam, all served kindly & promptly, satisfied this hungry as a bear mamma. Never had a bad meal from this excellent establishment.

Just happened to find this great restaurant about 8:30 Fri nite... they were still open and we we hungry for comfort food. What a great atmosphere and and delicious menu ! Not to be missed !

Stayed in Madras for two nights, visited the information centre and after enquiring about places to eat, they mentioned Black Bear Diner, so glad they did so good we went back for second evening. The food was excellent and good value, the staff were very friendly and polite, definitely recommend.
