Look, I hate leaving these types of reviews. I really do. I can understand how a place like this can be price gouging because it's in the middle of a super cute boutique boujee coastal town such as Manzanita. However, the food was ridiculously sub-par, especially considering that the vibe is authentically decent. We ordered a simple wet burrito to split but asked for no dairy such as cheese or sour cream along with a side of guacamole. Our server warned us that the food was mostly made in lard. While that was very nice her to warn us, we hastily had to modify our order so that some items would be on the side, since my significant other wasn't crazy about the lard. What did we get? A super "slapped together" burrito in Mission brand tortillas you can find at a grocery outlet, no guacamole inside and the wrap job was worse than what a one-handed person can do on their best day. We immediately felt like the cook was annoyed with this order and quickly put a platter together for us. On top of all that; the side of guacamole was nothing short of bland. Still though, we powered on. What was the damage for all this? $26. $7 for a super small side of guacamole? $15 for a burrito? $4 for a sparkling mineral water? Yeah, this place is a ripoff. Never again. The only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars is because our server (who we generously tipped) was super sweet and attentive. Other than that, I hope the owners see that the quality of their food isn't what it's hyped up to be, especially for the price.

Fajitas were sweet? Like they had caramelizad them - which was unexpected and the meat tasted like they had just rewarmed them from a previous cooking. Rice was fantastic- just skip the fajitas

Loved the fresh guacamole and my burrito. Like most other Mexican restaurants, you have to spice it up to your liking. Why can't you choose a spice level like with Chinese?

Lovely place. Delicious food. Small, but nicely decorated. As Mexican food goes, quite decent! Would go again for sure. The Margarita sampler was good. But, as they go, kinda sweet and just enough tequila. Perfect night out!
Last night I ordered a meal to go. It was completely burnt the entire shell and the meat was dried out way overcooked, and they put two sauces in the bag but forgot to put the chips in the bag. I don't know if there is a new cook or they just didn't care but I won't be back.

Great homemade Mexican food. The chicken fajitas were delicious, as was the seafood cocktail. A great alternative to normal American fare. The staff were friendly and welcoming too.

I was actually told to not eat here, I decided to check it out anyway. I placed a to go order for carne asada. I drove to pick it up then I get to my house. Start opening the to go order. I could already notice the Carne Asada looks nasty. It was stringy tasteless. I took one bite and spit it out in my napkin. I called the restaurant while I was eating just some of the beans and the flour, tortilla as I was starving.I had expressed how bad the crane asada was that it was not editable. They refused to do anything or feel any empathy for th bad food but tell me I need to drive all the way back to the restaurant seven minutes away. I bring in the entire order except for one flour, tortilla and a scoops of beans I had eaten. The two ladies were staring at me and talking to me in Spanish and looking absolutely intimidating. Glaring down at me. I know Spanish. . She states oh you eat the beans we don’t give you no refund.I wanted to cry right there. I said I only eat the beans as I was starving and I’ve been waiting all day to eat. I cried and said that’s fine. I will leave you a nice review for your horrible service. I’m sitting outside in my car writing a review and the lady inside who was treated me horribly comes out to my window in pounds on the window and says this is a no parking area. They made a comment when I was walking out stupid white peopleThey didn’t realize I speak Spanish.

All in all, a good experience. Food and service was decent, although I did discover two strands of hair on the outside of my glass that were not mine.
