really great macaroni cheese, pulled pork, ribs, and cajun tots. enjoyed both the original barbecue sauce and the sweet onion barbecue sauce. i have spent enormous amounts of time in texas visiting family- not as great as those options in tx, but compared to others in oregon, it’s great!
Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous....
